BC LEG: An extremely rare case of agreement occurs between BC Conservatives on X and David Eby, with the BC premier accusing Iain Black and Caroline Elliott of being Liberals.

Al Jazeera: "Canada. A country with the world's longest coastline, vast Arctic frontiers, immense natural resources and a nearly 9000 km border with the US. For decades, that border was seen as Canada's greatest strategic advantage. Today, some see it as its greatest vulnerability."

Please have the wildfire service and RCMP publically log the the details of who, how, why 70% of wildfires are human caused? I have been camping for years, I have never seen an un-attended campfire in an unsupervised area (By the way, no one cares about smoldering ashes in a metal ring on a cool day in a BC Park family campground).

@ronmortgageguy "Butler Mortgage Day" would be the day, if you were a diaspora that controls one or two ridings and kicks in 500gr annually to the asset manager's party

@avilewis Governing includes shining light on Canada's opaque, expensive, politically motivated JUSTICE SYSTEM. The left leaves this out as $700 per hour lawyers are their "go to" to join the upper right "K" via the backs of their constituents.

@bowmacwood @dockevinmcleod You're not making any sense, I'm not even disagreeing with you that their policies haven't hit the mark. I just don't know what you even mean by "woke", when it would be more stereotypically "woke" to actually build solar rooftops and to encourage it by paying people correctly.

BC hydro has changed the rules when it comes to home solar. It’s most unfortunate. The payback time has gone from about 8 years to 20 ish for me. Kinda kills the ROI for solar in BC. I’ve been a huge advocate for solar. Probably not worth it now.

@BStoneBrief @dockevinmcleod A few million square feet of warehouse rooftops have been built since the NDP "woke" (whatever that is) started ruining BC. Zero have solar 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪🤪😁 Meanwhile Texas and FLA have thousands of acres of solar all over the place.

At this point it’s clear, the establishment is trying to tip the scales away from the grass roots. @Dallas_Brodie, there should be a serious conversation between @KerryLynneFindl and @yuri_fulmer about working together. Odds are stacked against the right sided candidates right now.

This needs to be looked into - it is completely inappropriate for the LEOC to be made up of people who have a strong interest in one candidate winning over the others. The Digital Verification also just happens to advantage a more wishy-washy Liberal candidate, as Freedom-minded Conservatives hate anything that smacks of Digital ID. This makes Yuri’s Freedom Charter commitment against Digital ID sound pretty good right now. 👀
Anthony Russo@AnthonyRussoBC

When you read articles or posts from @WDiminishment team members claiming this digital verification system doesn’t favour Caroline Elliott, remember this: Caroline Elliott is one of the founders of Without Diminishment. Take everything they say with a massive grain of salt. Now let’s recap what we’ve learned this week: • LEOC is responsible for the decision to utilize Persona for digital verification in this race.
• A LEOC member is in a marital relationship with an Elliott campaign staffer, that same LEOC member was an alleged former hire of Elliott who was reportedly paid six figures to help rebrand the BC Liberals into BC United.
• Another LEOC member is reportedly one of the best friends of a member on Elliott’s campaign staff.
• Digital verification clearly places more right leaning candidates at a disadvantage when a large portion of their voter base strongly opposes digital ID and digital verification systems. And we’re all just supposed to believe this isn’t a clear conflict of interest? Give me a break. #bcpoli

People who shit on Vancouver just need to get out of downtown. When I go to any city, I find the great neighbourhoods and explore those. I might dip into downtown for a quick look if I have time, but it’s never where I want to center myself.

@bowmacwood @sarobertson_ @Ben_oharabyrne I am in neither of those 3 categories. Most people see the US as a threat as much as a much less reliable partner. We know the US will always be our most important partner. They just need to drop down a little bit which will also mean they pay what our resources are worth now!

@bjdobson08 @AnthonyRussoBC Sadly politics in BC is what it is. BC's right of center is poised to restore Canada's founding tenets but we have to win the general election and to get to that, we need the current NDP government to fall. Dare to dream

Maybe the real question is why the Conservative Party of BC feels so divided right now. I’d argue it’s because there are two very different visions fighting for control of the party. One side is populist. Imperfect at times, but driven by a genuine desire to represent ordinary people, grassroots members, and the voice of the broader public. The other side is establishment politics. Backroom deals, insider networks, managed narratives, and a small circle of political operatives trying to maintain influence and control. That tension is the battle happening inside the party right now. #bcpoli

Yes EE was so close! Imagine where Canada would be on the world stage, if TODAY we were shipping LNG, Oil and Refined products to Europe! The media sugarcoats the influence of those that want Canada to fail. Think of it this way: Say, I OWN a pipeline or refinery that YOU want to compete with. It is cost effective for ME to pay for protests, and/or bribe politicians or in some cases use a military to thwart your efforts. MY return on investment is protected by NOT letting YOU get in to the business. I think Justin Trudeau's decisions were compromised.

If I may, there is lots of northern BC activity and the FN I hang with are proud and love the reconciliation that results in FN business and jobs. NO ONE understands this weird DRIPA thing, it is a mess. I am pretty sure more FN than we think vote for the CPBC. Have yourself a fantastic day!

@Bzubyk I feel so bad for the north. Very under represented and blamed for a lot But they get CPBC and it’s just gonna be court cases with the FN blocking everything. I don’t like the direction BC is headed.

Some basic political facts for some of our more strident friends on this platform. There are at best 2-4 potentially realistic pickups on the Island, North and Interior. That's being super aggressive but let's say that's in play. To win a comfortable majority and defeat the NDP, Conservatives must win the Lower Mainland. That means holding Langley, possibly pick up 2-3 seats in Surrey and Richmond, win 2-3 in the the Tri-Cities, pick up 2-6 in Vancouver/Burnaby/North Shore. There is no other path. The Conservative Party has already near maxed out in the interior and north. Defeating the NDP will require compromises within the party. It will require that members commit to backing the winner of this race. It means that members put the people of B.C. ahead of their personal definition of purity and perfection. There is simply no other option. If you want single issue purity, start a podcast. If you want the NDP gone, smaller government, fiscal responsibility, protection of private property, the end of government in the drug business, hospitals that are open when you need them, safer streets and any number of issues we can all agree on, then help with the hard work of winning. Regardless of who the new leader is. Regardless of your pet issue. Regardless of your personal view of purity. BC is counting on us now and if you can't put province over party you will only be of service to the NDP. Lecture over.
