Most people give bad compliments. At best they're generic ("You look nice" "You're so tall"), at worst they're intrusive/insulting ("Great tattoo, can I see it?" "Wow, you're actually really smart"). Giving a good compliment is harder than I thought. So I consulted @iwsfutcmd
In general, is your philosophy more that A) it's kinder to ask questions, get the other person to talk, it's rude to take up too much time yourself, or B) it's kinder to talk spare them attention, questions are prying, assume if they want to talk they'll chime in

Facilitating was also a blast - I really got to hear in the moment what folks enjoyed and didn’t enjoy but mostly was able to feel the connection with a large group of people who all came through earnestly to practice relating better What more can you ask for?
The more talkative you are, the greater the responsibility you have to be socially perceptive. Talkativeness without social perceptiveness creates a burden on others. If you dominate the conversation, make sure it's interesting to others, or you may end up excluded.
