“Why do people still use macOS when Linux is more powerful?” Bro this question is cooked from the start 💀 macOS is literally Unix-based. It gives you the terminal, dev environment, package managers, shell tools, scripting, and a stable ecosystem — while also giving polished UI, battery optimization, app ecosystem, and hardware-software integration. People act like it’s: Linux = coding macOS = aesthetic Meanwhile most top devs are sitting on MacBooks running zsh, Docker, Homebrew, SSH, Kubernetes, Node, Python, and everything else 😭 The real debate isn’t “Linux vs macOS” It’s: Pure control & customization vs polished productivity.

BREAKING: Europe is considering Ethereum as the settlement layer for a Euro stablecoin. Not a pilot. Not a sandbox test. Real financial infrastructure. For sovereign money. The ECB's Christine Lagarde said Bitcoin would never enter European reserves. Now Europe is evaluating Ethereum to settle the Euro itself. Public blockchains are moving from crypto markets. To institutions. To governments. To sovereign settlement layers. This is not about hype anymore. This is about who controls the financial rails of the future. And Ethereum just entered that conversation.

the framework 13 pro is the macbook pro of linux >haptic touchpad >great touchscreen >insane battery life >full aluminum chassis >comfortable keyboard framework sent me a pre-production unit and i'm genuinely blown away by this machine i've been daily driving a framework machine for over a year and the 13 pro feels 10x more premium to me the biggest win is battery life: i can confidently say this machine easily lasts me the entire day (and this is with capping my charging to 80% for battery health). i'm someone who always carries a battery bank on me but with this machine battery truly isn't a concern i can do my work for hours on end and still have hours of battery life to spare. i can go work at a coffee shop and not have to worry about being near an outlet. while it sounds small this gives me immense peace of mind which is what i try to optimize for in my life and like any framework i can still repair/upgrade any part of this machine if you're looking for a new machine i highly recommend checking out the new framework 13 pro

❗️🇩🇪 Germany says Signal is unsuitable for official communications. Members of the Bundestag have been formally urged to switch from Signal to Wire, after a Russian intelligence operation compromised the Signal account of Bundestag President Julia Klöckner. The choice of Wire is also strategic. Wire is a German company, headquartered in Berlin, operating under EU jurisdiction. The German federal cybersecurity agency BSI has approved Wire Bund for the exchange of classified information up to VS-NfD ("Restricted, For Official Use Only"). The platform is GDPR-compliant, NIS2-aligned, and self-hostable on European infrastructure. Signal, by contrast, is a US-based non-profit subject to the US CLOUD Act. The CLOUD Act allows American authorities to compel data access from US-headquartered providers regardless of where the data is physically stored. For a European parliament communicating about defence, foreign policy, or intelligence cooperation, that is a structural problem before you even reach the phishing question. Two operational reasons Wire is harder to phish: 🔴 Registration uses an email address, not a phone number 🔴 The email address is not visible to third parties Signal binds accounts to phone numbers. Anyone who knows your number can attempt to contact you, and enterprise controls like Single Sign-On are difficult to apply. The push is not new. Bundestag Vice-President Andrea Lindholz previously called for the same migration and proposed an outright ban on Signal for official parliamentary devices. Important context. This is not a vulnerability in Signal's encryption protocol. The Signal protocol remains the gold standard for end-to-end encryption. The attacks succeed at the human and account-recovery layer, the layer Signal's phone-number-based identity model exposes by design. The Bundestag move fits a much larger European pattern. Brussels is pushing GAIA-X for sovereign cloud, the EUDI Wallet for digital identity, and now Wire for parliamentary communications. The throughline is the same: reduce dependence on US-headquartered infrastructure, especially for anything touching classified or politically sensitive data. Germany is now the highest-profile government to formally treat Signal as unsuitable for official communications. The replacement is European. Other EU members will be watching as Germany takes the lead.

Microsoft says you can now shut down and restart your PC without worrying about forced Windows 11 updates. In newer builds, Microsoft now shows separate power actions from update actions. With this change, the Power menu will always show the standard Restart and Shut down options, meaning you will always have a choice to just restart or shut down your device without having to install the pending update. At the same time, update‑specific choices like Update and restart and Update and shut down will still be available when applicable. This gives you four clear options, and full control over what your device does next! Microsoft also confirmed that Windows will attempt to restore previously opened applications faster after restart, so you can easily return to what you were working on.

Microsoft says it’s rebuilding Windows 11 around what users actually want: performance, reliability, quality, and craft! Microsoft has assembled a group of product experts and engineers who are passionate and take pride in building Windows 11. "Our goal as we go forward is to be more open as we build Windows, make sure you feel like you are included in the entire lifecycle of our product making process, and then make sure this is a vibrant community and we are just grateful for a chance to get some time with you all.” – Microsoft. And it's not just words. We're already seeing major changes in preview builds, including the ability to pause Windows updates for as long as you want, and even skip updates during OOBE. Windows 11 is also getting a resizable and movable taskbar, faster File Explorer, consistent design language, and more.

Linux 7.0 is here. And it quietly fixes what matters most: Performance. Stability. Future support. • Massive memory optimization (50–75%) • Faster swap for heavy workloads • Smarter scheduling across cores • Better GPU support for modern graphics But the real story: Rust is now permanent inside the kernel. That means safer drivers. Fewer crashes. More modern development. Add to that: • Next-gen CPU support already baked in • Self-healing filesystem (XFS) • Better laptop control (thermals, RGB, brightness) This is what Ubuntu 26.04 will run on. Linux isn’t chasing trends anymore. It’s setting the direction.

Microsoft still hasn't caught up with Apple's M series transition after 5 years. Windows on ARM is still not great compared to macOS on M series chips. Now the MacBook Neo, SteamOS & Android PC OS launch is forcing them to improve Windows. But if it's going to take another 5 years - then Windows' market share will drop. On top of that, Microsoft being distracted by Copilot & Mico isn't helping them. Microsoft's foundation is shaking.

BREAKING: Microsoft confirms it’ll make Windows 11 a calmer OS with fewer upsells or ads. The company also says it will raise the bar on Windows 11 quality in 2026 and focus on performance over unwanted Copilot integrations. Microsoft says it'll improve driver quality, make apps stable, improve connections with Bluetooth accessories, reduce USB-related crashes and connection loss, and enable improved printer discoverability and connections. "The work is underway," says Microsoft. "You can expect to see tangible progress that you’ll be able to feel as you preview builds from us throughout the rest of the year."
