One thing we must understand is that the battle against the flesh is real. I have my own struggles too. Some may seem small or even funny to others, but they are real battles to me.
Until we are glorified, there is an ongoing conflict between the flesh and the Spirit. Every believer experiences it in one way or another. The goal isn’t to pretend the battle doesn’t exist, but to keep relying on God’s grace, His Word, and the Holy Spirit as we fight it daily.
Some common struggles include:
-Lust and sexual temptation
-Pornography
-Fornication or adultery
-Pride and self-exaltation
-Anger and an unforgiving spirit
-Jealousy and envy
-Bitterness
-Gossip and slander
-Lying
-Greed and the love of money
-Covetousness
-Laziness
-Gluttony or lack of self-control
-Drunkenness or substance abuse
-Fear and anxiety that lead to unbelief
-Doubt and unbelief
-Seeking people’s approval more than God’s
-Impatience
-Revenge or hatred
-Selfish ambition
-Complaining and grumbling
-Spiritual laziness, such as neglecting prayer, Bible reading, or fellowship

After weeks of frantic searching since 9th June, our colleague Esther Wairimu Keige, Advocate, was discovered dead in Gatundu Forest.
My heart goes out to her family, friends and the wider legal fraternity as we grapple with this unspeakable tragedy. May they draw strength even as they walk through this valley of grief. We remain steadfast in demanding that those behind this heinous act be traced, subjected to due process and held fully accountable under the law.

Esther was abducted three weeks ago and she has been found dead.

Every time Rigathi Gachagua opens his mouth to speak, he affirms to all and sundry that he is the Lord of Violence and Master of Ethnic Bigotry. Today was no different. He continued with his crusade to label leaders from his backyard who do not subscribe to his politics of tribalism as 'wasaliti'. Terming others as traitors of the community is a dog whistle that has been historically used to profile, ostracize and direct attacks against a section of society or individuals. Cases in point are the Rwandan genocide and the war crimes in Kosovo. The attack on Rachel Wandeto is still fresh in our minds. Her painful and unfortunate death was a direct consequence of Gachagua's incitement against pro-government people from the region. Like I said recently, our security agencies are under instruction to monitor his inflammatory utterances and take the necessary legal action before he endangers more lives and the security of the country. Gachagua remains a hopeless tribalist with delusions of being at the helm of an empire that only exists in the firmament of his twisted imagination. Kenya remains a united, progressive and indivisible nation.
