@Zaoui_Souhaib I use AI to code, but I don’t vibe code. In fact I would call it agentic development. It’s using AI but with a focus on a scalability and reliability.

A few things I’d do early: Talk to 30-50 potential users before building Hang out where your ICP already spends time Start posting learnings publicly while building Build an email list/waitlist before launch Study competitors’ reviews to find positioning gaps and also 1 star reviews Talk to 5-10 agency partners and understand if they think your app can solve a real pain for merchants Pick one acquisition channel and go deep first The best distribution usually comes from understanding the customer deeply enough

1000 new Shopify apps in 10 days. Most people see chaos. I see opportunity. After talking to 700+ Shopify app founders, the pattern is clear: The ones who win aren't the best builders. They're the best at distribution. When the app store floods, the founders who already own a niche, who have brand, who have trust, they don't just survive. They pull ahead. The flood isn't your enemy. Obscurity is.

Prediction: Shopify is working on a new App Store, and it will be live before Dot dev. I expect changes mainly in the following areas. - Shopify Ads - Reviews - UX (Some interesting Sidekick related changes for app recommendations) - Ranking algorithm The main reason I have this prediction is that Shopify was extremely silent about App Store-related issues on X recently. I think this happens when they have a solution but can't announce it yet. This is just a personal prediction, let's see...

Cart Pilot just got approved for its second Shopify App Store category, Upsell and Cross-sell. Funny part is, after seeing the tags, I realized this should’ve probably been the main category from day one :)))

Install #10. Spent today fixing Cart Pilot on themes I didn’t expect to break 😅 Instead of patching issues, I started rebuilding parts of the integration layer to scale across future themes properly. 10 installs in, and the product already feels very different from day 1.

1074 new Shopify apps launched in 10 days in May. How many do you think get past 10 installs? (genuine question , building something for this problem)

Been developing with Codex and realized some small changes can easily turn into bad Shopify reviews. So I'm going to write a doc for Codex explaining how sensitive reviews are in the Shopify ecosystem, and what kinds of behaviors should never make it into production.
