@GenePark I dont understand why so many people have attached their ego to Crimson Desert. What is going on here? The game is the most 7/10 thing imaginable. No narrative yet you're forced to play as generic sword and shield dude in an offline MMO world where nothing happens. So strange.

@fromsoftserve I thought I was crazy for thinking it looked really off at a distance. I couldn't figure out any settings to fix it. Overall it's so pretty and this part makes me sad.

crimson desert is gorgeous at points, but also hampered by a lot of graphical bugs. insane amount of ssao, way oversharpened, distant buildings (even with Ultra model quality, cinematic textures on) will have pretty awful LODs, there's a noisiness to the image at all times.

@lofi_lover0930 I tried Valhalla, but couldn't get into it, and I even like Odyssey. Also I've learned today that a lot of people hate Wukong, but I also loved that one. lol I think Crimson Desert is fun so far, though kinda overwhelming. There is SO much to do. Not a bad thing though.

@TheHiddenOneAC lol I do agree he's highly uninteresting, so I honestly don't understand why they didn't just go with the silent protag character creation approach. The game overall is pretty fun so far though, I think.

If Pearl Abyss' goal was to make Kliff the least interesting protagonist in gaming, then fair enough because they did just that.

@SpawnYaardReply It has great lore and a very interesting narrative, but it's presented differently than most, and a lot is left up to interpretation. That's probably why most don't seem to know much about it.

Why are people saying Elden Ring doesn't have a good story or all Soulslike games don't have a story?

Lies of P just hit 4 million sales! It’s one of the best Soulslike games I’ve ever played, with an 80 on Metacritic. I got the platinum and loved every second of it.

@GameDadVII Exactly what drives me crazy. I thought we just collectively loved games as a community. Not every game has to be for every person, but it's very weird to want them to fail. I've never felt that way about anything.

The current gaming culture confuses me. People get so excited when a game they weren't excited for doesn't have glowing reviews.
I absolutely understand not being interested, or excited, in a game. But being happy when it underperformes doesn't jive with me.
