But not once did he actually mention India. Not even in passing. If you are celebraty and appearing on a massive global platform, you would introduce yourself with your country and not only the state. Is this just strong regional pride or a very calculated branding move where "Punjab" is the identity he wants to push internationally? I have seen, it's becoming a pattern across his interviews. BREAKING: A Presidential permit has been approved for a new bitumen pipeline that will initially deliver more than half a million barrels per day of Alberta oil to facilities and refineries throughout the United States. This project is a joint venture between two great Canadian and US companies South Bow and Bridger using existing assets. After years of advocacy from our government, and following the signing of the Canada-Alberta Energy Agreement last year, the federal government has lifted their oil and gas production cap. This means Alberta producers will be able to produce more of the oil that the world needs. It’s incredible to see that work already paying off with announcements like this. The US is our most important trading partner and we will continue to deliver energy to help secure North American energy dominance.

@KirkLubimov Canada also missed a major refinery opportunity from Reliance Industries India. they chose the U.S. instead. Red tape, policy delays, and lack of real work are costing Canada big investments.

India is hitting a multi year record of oil imports from Venezuela. 12 million barrels on its way, pivoting from the Strait of Hormuz. Canada signed an energy deal with India, but it's just as useless as the MOU with Alberta as Mark Carney doesn't want to remove the red tape that prevents us from building the infrastructure to deliver for our allies.

A Prince George, BC, school has launched an afterschool Punjabi language program. The school is described as 40% "Indo-Canadian" and had heard "worries from parents who wanted to keep their children connected to their language and culture".
