Welcome to Amrit Kaal, mitron! When global crude oil prices plummeted, the Modi Government pocketed billions in profits, and now - 3 months after a completely predictable crisis - the public is being forced to absorb the pain. This government’s crisis management is only to save Adani from prosecution, not to save the common public from economic shocks. Instead of giving a plan on how the poor will be shielded from shocks, they are suffocating the people day by day. The people are completely fed up with this regime and its mismanagement.

The longer Iran plays the Strait of Hormuz card, higher the chances countries will move to Red Sea and Gulf of Oman. Iran runs the risk of being irrelevant if UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi move to other ports and pipelines. Also the higher oil prices support such projects

#WATCH | Delhi: On PM Modi reducing his security convoy, former R&AW Secretary Samant Goel says, "The current international security situation is highly volatile. There have been three attacks on US President Trump, despite it being considered the safest country. There are several elements who are against India. Terror activities are happening, especially by our neighbouring state. So, in such a situation, I personally feel that we must make special arrangements for PM's security. As per the current threat assessments, drones and sniper guns have come in. So, we need to review his security and strengthen it, rather than downsizing it. I feel this is not right. This is not in the interest of the nation."

Why didn’t petrol prices crash when crude prices fell globally under NDA? 1. The middle class may not like it but the gains from cheaper crude were redirected into welfare, free food schemes, infrastructure, Ujjwala, rural electrification and post-COVID recovery spending for the most vulnerable. Surely, isn’t strengthening state capacity and funding large-scale welfare and capex a worthy endeavor? And especially when leakage is also reportedly far less today than it was during UPA era. 2. India also consumes far more fuel today than a decade ago, making every tax cut fiscally more expensive. 3. Attack NDA by all means but don't forget Opposition ruled state governments haven't also lowered excise duties dramatically when crude prices softened globally. 4. Also ask why wasn't there consensus over bringing fuel under GST?

After a long time faced a power cut in Ahmedabad last night for 3 hrs, and now wondering what if this becomes regular due to the global energy crisis.

UK GDP per head grew by 0.6% in q1 2026 to which is the fastest economic growth per capita in a quarter for 4 years… UK GDP growth itself is fastest of the 6 G7 countries that have reported so far (and Japan expected at 0.4%, would be fastest full stop) Quite the backdrop for a leadership challenge…
