@brettmashado Yeah, initially building it as a future war, but my daughter loves Game of Thrones, so will develop a "Pack" just for here.. (as licencing is silliness) Will see how it goes.. large screen in a living room... and lots of animations as the game plays (music/sound efffects)

@DunkenKBliths Sounds fun, but if I had 6 people in a room willing to play a Risk type game, a physical board game is engaging, I remember part of the fun was taking ages setting up Axis and Allies or Shogun. We would never finish. So I suppose a ready to play idea could work.

ah yes Populous..... I'm just trying to build a standalone game (runs on local server - a computer) with up to 6 players - using their mobile phones as the controlling mechanism for each player...via wifi Just trying to work out if there is an audience...or not Making quite "editable" so can create your own scenarios etc...

On the PRRT / Gas Tax thing: The current system is an oil and gas company charity. It's ridiculous. But also, I don't agree with a 25% tax on gas, because they're making windfall profits. We need to fix it *properly*. How? Read on:

@AngusTaylorMP “‘Drill baby drill’… really? Nothing says ‘fresh ideas’ like recycling a 20-year-old American campaign slogan while Fortunate Son plays in the background. Bit ironic blasting a song about elites dodging the consequences while pushing policies that double down on the same old

Australia has everything it needs beneath our feet to power our homes, fuel our cars and create more jobs. We need to get Australia moving. Cut the delays. Back investment. Unlock more oil and gas projects. That’s why a Coalition government will DIG, DRILL, and DELIVER 🇦🇺

@PeterDiamandis Abundance… and here we are reliant on a 30km stretch of water in a far off land held hostage by a people who just wish to prosper without threat of annihilation. I still have hope for us as a species. This time in history is a turning point. Let it be peaceful

I will never get tired of saying it: the most exciting time to be alive in human history is TODAY. Think about it, we're building our grandchildren's sci-fi realitiy NOW.

I don't much care for the political bickering, but this is 98% performative and 2% useful. A stronger endorsement - including a public service edict - of WFH and free public transport would likely have a far, far bigger impact.

KEIR STARMER IS A DISAPPOINT: "He did something that was SHOCKING. He didn't want to help us." - Trump "They WEREN'T THERE FOR US for small time (Venezuela)." He says he's HIGHLY DOUBTFUL that an ongoing relationship can continue now that we know they DON'T stand with America in true times of need against dangers.

@JaneCaro True but it needs to be converted to electricity. Rooftop solar for homes & businesses makes absolute sense. But there are problems with large scale solar farms taking significant land resources particularly agricultural land.

Barnaby Joyce goes ballistic over Australia’s oil/fuel shortage crisis. ‘You want climate change policy .. by gosh you’ve got it… It is running down now serious players can’t get their hands on petrol. We did this to Australia. We did it and this is one of the great curses, The sins of what’s happening to policy here.’ Aussies are so done with the Uniparty system.

This message, from @DavidPocock's Facebook page, is exactly the sort of thing the major party leaders should be saying. And the sort of thing we should all be trying to live, I reckon.

@mattjcan Funny how a snapshot at 9pm gets used as proof that renewables “don’t work,” when everyone knows wind and solar output varies by time of day. The real cost blowouts in NSW came from years of policy uncertainty, stalled plans + transmission upgrades and mixed signals to investors
