🚨BREAKING: Border Patrol is now illegally stopping and interrogating ACTIVE DUTY U.S. MILITARY for looking like they “might not be American.” An Air Force service member was pulled over while driving from Payson, Arizona, after being followed and racially profiled by an agent. The agent asked if he was a U.S. citizen… he said yes, and even explained that he’s in the Air Force. That should have been the end of it. It wasn’t. The agent asked him AGAIN. And then escalated to asking if he was born in the United States… That question is irrelevant. Yet, agents keep asking it like it justifies anything… You do not have to be born in the United States to be a U.S. citizen. Naturalized citizens have the same legal status. The answer had already been given. An American, actively serving in the Air Force, still isn’t “American enough” in the eyes of DHS. This is what unchecked power looks like… it escalates until basic rights stop meaning anything.

According to documents filed this morning by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NY, ICE has been lying for a year — not only to the public, but to the courts and to prosecutors — about being authorized to make arrests at 26 Federal Plaza and other immigration courts. This is genuinely a bombshell. All courthouse arrests should cease immediately. There should be a Congressional investigation & civil rights actions for every illegal abduction of immigrants trying to follow the rules and appear in court.

@BelkReport It just feels fucking pointless now. The players are acting in their best (financial) interest and they deserve to be paid, but it just becomes a roster of one-year mercenaries where anyone good leaves to chase the biggest payday. Who wants to cheer for that?

@BelkReport I think its a big blow. We talked about how improved our shooting was, but a ton of that relied on Parker and Blums. Now you have Blums and RJ's very small sample size and then a big drop off. Also not encouraged about what this says for being able to retain players in general.

One positive about having such a deep roster is that no one player leaving sinks the ship. Parker leaving sucks, especially because I think he would’ve THRIVED next season but him alone leaving does not materially alter next season’s outlook. Gotta keep the other guys now.
