@NWSRaleigh This has been a roller coaster this month. How many 40 or 50 degree temperature swings have happened in 24-36 hours this month!

Wild temperature swings of more than 60 degrees are expected over the next 36 hours or so. Record breaking highs of 85 to 90 today will turn colder with lows by Sunday morning in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Tomorrow’s Tor risk isn’t all that impressive for RDU. Mostly a QLCS setup and storms firing/prolonged clouds in the AM will ruin the heating potential. Favorable shear profile for the QLCS, embedded Tors possible, but not seeing discrete supercell risk yet. I’ll revisit Monday AM.

53° less than three hours ago and now 35° with snow here in Roan Mountain, Tennessee. It promises to get a lot colder by tomorrow morning.
