Best example? Apple. My MacBook boots up in 2-3 seconds. From pressing and holding the power button to being in the login screen. Then logging in takes another few seconds. I'm in my workload only 15 seconds after I grab my laptop off the countertop. On my windows PC, I press power and leave to grab coffee

@_rvnx @thiojoe I should probably mention that I’ve done boot optimization on modern OSes and I’ve seen the absolute inanity that they wait around for just to make it look like they’re doing something. You can get a modern system to fully boot in well under a second if you know what you’re doing
