Let’s put the narrative of DDS into perspective. “Crisis na impeachment pa rin inaatupag” The crisis has nothing to do with the impeachment, why would it even matter? It’s like saying. Nanakawan ako pero tsaka ko na ireport kasi may problema ang bayan namin.

Ito ang sinabi ng Korte Suprema: “ The respondent in the impeachment complaint should have been given a chance to be heard on the Articles of Impeachment and the supporting evidence to prove the charges prior to its transmittal to the Senate, despite the number of endorsements from House members.” Ngayon, ibinigay na sa kay Sara Duterte ang gusto niya ang dami pa ding palusot. Ganyan siguro talaga kapag magnanakaw, ayaw natatanong dahil hindi makakasagot ng tama.

The whole “if you’ve got nothing to hide, lay everything out” logic justifies limitless intrusions if you push it far enough. Which is exactly why civilized justice systems reject it in the first place. You want VP Sara to surrender a right intended to protect everyone, not just her. You are eroding protections without saying so out loud. Ask yourself: would you be comfortable being accused of anything, & then you are forced to prove your innocence? Is that the (in)justice system you want?

This was literally the position of the HoR when they filed the Motion for Reconsideration when the SC ruled in favor of the Petition filed by Sara. Anong sabi ng SC? Basa. PRIOR TO ITS TRANSMITTAL TO THE SENATE.
