One of my close friends recently had a baby and his baby has made our hangouts exponentially better I have heard for the longest time that once someone has a baby then hanging out with them becomes a burden and not fun anymore I have found the total opposite to be true His baby has made everything better: we laugh more (because the baby is laughing), we have more to talk about, strangers are nicer to us, we go on so many walks, and the list goes on We are all just in a better mood Anyone who doesn't like babies cannot be trusted

@broodingcromwel Aah, the orange and the green. It's a confusing thing. One the one hand, I'm an orange man through and through, and don't much care for those mackerel munching papists. On the other hand, I do like ripping on the Brits. After all I'm a proud American.

Two of my biggest pet peeves as a pastor: 1. Wedding ceremonies that use the exact same vows for the bride and bridegroom, instead of sexually differentiated vows. The Bible gives distinct commands to husbands and wives, and that should be reflected in the promises they make to one another. Androgynous wedding ceremonies are dumb. 2. Pastors who give pre-baptismal speeches about what baptism does NOT do. Why bother with something that doesn't do anything? When a pastor baptizes, he should teach on what's happening, not on what's not happening. He should use the Bible's own language - and he should explain that language, not explain it away.
