The @CAgovernor is *technically* right on gas prices. In April, California regulatory taxes and fees meant we paid $1.90 more per gallon than the national average. That is slightly better than the month before, where we paid $1.93 more per gallon. #notsomethingtobragabout

Agree with @CAgovernor Newsom that R&D is essential to our economy, which is why we fought him eliminating the R&D tax credit and have long supported the manufacturing tax credit.

🚨NEWS: According to today’s IMF release and last week’s report from US Bureau of Economic Analysis, CA fell back to 5th largest economy. In addition, the updated IMF data shows California was also 5th largest in 2024 rather than the 4th largest.  More coming soon.

Prior to December, billionaires with a net worth of at least $797 billion moved from the state since 2019. Prior to the end of 2025 and including Larry Ellison, billionaires with a net worth of at least an additional $813 billion left the state as well.

This chart from the @Center4jobs latest report really says it all. High net-worth individuals are highly mobile and are moving capital out of California because of the threat of a dangerous #wealthtax.

Looking at 2022 (pre ChatGPT) to 2025, data centers used 3.7% of CA total electricity. Our electricity rates increased by 25% during that time. In VA data center use was 25.6%. Their electricity rates increased only 8%....
