Like 5 year ago I did something like 2020, 2010 and 2000. The data is in all the old Lutheran Annuals and a 2000 one fell into my hands. I'm sure someone has digitized them. But the last time I asked LCMS Inc, I was told it would cost $$$$. Over the 20 year period what you see is flat congregations, declining size of congregations, and increased per person giving. Maybe they are all in the AIs?

@TPCarney Are they surveying markers? I've seen things like that which are like boundary markers surveyors could calibrate equipment from. Often the would have the latidude/longitude on them. Although I don't think they are used anymore with GPS.

But the original post said people don't want to hear about real wage increases. They only care about nominal costs. So change the nominal frame.

Anyone can put on a Roman helmet and build a platform now, and their opinions are just as good and can be just as influential as Matt Yglesias’s or Nick Kristof’s.
