@Kevsol @davidallison88 But poor? That’s too much, we matched an established PL side, the stats were slightly in our favour, and won the game. This is only the second / third time the majority of the lads have played together.

@brownysjb @davidallison88 I thought they edged a pretty dull Prem Lge encounter. We struggled to create anything of note until the Isidor winner, which came from shrewd tactical substitutions. Not much in it, don't think we were great though (which actually made the victory all the sweeter).

Don't shoot me down, but I thought we were poor today. I actually think that makes the win all the sweeter. Great character shown to come from behind to win a game with only 10 mins left on the clock (admittedly significantly more given injury time).

@davidallison88 @Kevsol Agree that we stuck in, but wouldn’t say we were poor. The game was quite tight and tactical, neither team wanted to commit men forward. It’s only our third game back in the PL, and third game in England for some of the lads. Another promising performance.

@Kevsol Good sign that we’ve won not playing too great though mate. Stuck in it and found a way. Definitely improvements in a few of those lads.

On the “Civil Wor” at Newcastle, maybe if Liverpool had acted earlier and offered a proper fee for Alexander Isak, a world-class centre-forward with three years left on his contract, Newcastle would have had time and funds to bring in a suitable replacement. £110m was disrespectful to Newcastle (and Isak). And who are Newcastle going to get at this late stage of the window with suitable targets moved elsewhere? Yoane Wissa is not like for like. Newcastle need two anyway with Callum Wilson gone. It’s very easy to see why Newcastle and their proud, tough owners who don't like losing - or losing face - are playing hard-ball and determined to keep Isak. The saga continues. #NUFC #LFC

@davidallison88 But it was a free swing in reality. We’re seemingly comfortable in a play off spot. Go and win the game. Great first half, but then we came under a lot of pressure. He needed to do something to help the players out, they were grafting hard.

@brownysjb Absolutely. This is the hardest fixture of the season yes but got to take some more risks at times.

It’s not as easy as just making a sub and things instantly changing. But as that second half wore on we were getting further and further back and creating less and less #safc
