#CityPowerUpdates #RoodepoortSDC EMERGENCY ISOLATION PANORAMA SWITCHING STATION City Power sincerely apologises to customers in Panorama, Allen’s Nek and Weltevredenpark for the short notice regarding the total isolation of the Panorama Switching Station. This emergency measure was unavoidable and implemented to ensure the safety of the network and our personnel. The isolation follows a flash incident at the station, which resulted in carbon deposits spreading into the adjacent busbar. A thorough and highly technical clean-up operation is currently underway to remove the contamination and prevent further risk to the system. At this stage, no estimated restoration time can be confirmed. The extent of the damage must first be fully assessed, and the clean-up completed, before detailed investigations and necessary repairs can proceed. We acknowledge the significant inconvenience this outage has caused and urge customers to remain patient during this time. ^ZD
