The Immigration Lawyer money making scheme is out of control. For once, the BBC has done some good work and exposed lawyers coaching illegal migrants to fraudulently claim asylum in the UK. Reform UK will: 1) Make facilitating a false asylum claim a ‘strict liability’ criminal offence. There will be no requirement to prove intent in prosecutions, and this serious crime will be punishable by up to 2 years in jail. 2) Immediately abolish legal aid for asylum applications from those who enter the UK illegally or enter on a visa and overstay.
