AG Merrick Garland, March 7, 2023: "Our complaint alleges that JetBlue’s proposed $3.8 billion acquisition of Spirit violate Section 7 of the Clayton Act. We allege that if allowed to proceed this merger will limit choices and drive up ticket prices for passengers across the country. "And we further allege that the impact of this merger will be particularly harmful for travelers who rely on what are known as ultra low cost carriers in order to fly. Those include working & middle-class Americans who traveled for personal as opposed to business reasons & who must pay their own way. By acquiring Spirit JetBlue will eliminate the largest ultra low cost carrier in the United States.”

@AbuserBased @elonmusk People with a high IQ don’t usually have to tell anybody. So I’m guessing yours is pretty fucking low from what I’m told. Elon works about 20 hours a day eats his meals at at the table where he’s working and basically as a workaholic. How about you 141 IQ?

@nonfictionation @aikiboy2k @tomselliott 35% is still not a monopoly. If United Delta American, etc. do not wish to serve Boston International Airport then what the fuck is wrong with Boston international? No purpose was served by not allowing the merger. None zip zilch zero. Fares are going to go up now buy a lot.

@aikiboy2k @tomselliott You’re looking at it nationally. States started the suit. Massachusetts was the first plaintiff because the merger would have given JetBlue control of over 35% of routes through BOS and total control over key routes only served by them and Spirit. That’s a good antitrust case.

@TheMagaHulk If Hogan saw 30 kids in a room he counts that as 30 individual wishes. Cena walks into the same room of 30 kids and counts it as 1 wish.

Hulk Hogan granted the third most Make-a-Wish requests of all time (well over 200.) John Cena is the only wrestler who has granted more. Hogan also met thousands of other courageous children like Seth in this video. Meltzer is a bitter old man, jealous of Hogan's legacy.
RingsideFeed@RingsideFeed

Meltzer SHOOTS on Hulk Hogan after watching Netflix doc: "I just despise racism. I can't get past it." He says Hogan had every chance to fall on the sword like he kinda did with the steroids and never took it. Where do you land on his legacy? (source: wrestling observer rado @WONF4W)

@GinaSaysSo In 1970s the average hourly rate was $4/hr. For a whole year they paid maybe $200 a year to Social Security. How are we supposed to pay 20k a year to them now ? Their contribution does not match their entitlements. They have to get jobs as babysitters, cook or tutor.

Please stop with, "Social Security was not meant to be your retirement income, it was meant to be a supplement.'" It's insulting to tens of millions who worked hard and honest their entire lives and are forced to rely on Social Security AS their retirement income. "Supplement" would only be a possibility if government wasn't robbing us into poverty our entire working lives. Social Security is a cesspool of fraud. It's government's "cash station." To those who claim it's crazy to want a lump sum payment in the form of a REFUND for every dollar we put into this scam, take a look at how government protected our 'investment' in ourselves, and then talk to me about CRAZY. Government misappropriated the funds. ALWAYS intentionally. ALWAYS without threat of punishment. This is CRIMINAL, period.

A K9 appeared to be suspicious of White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen but was pulled away just seconds before Allen charged through security. The dog was seen following Allen through a doorway but was pulled back by its handler. Immediately after the handler turned away with the dog, Allen was seen charging through security. What a massive failure on every level.

@FoundAMoron 18 seconds into a guy running through a security checkpoint and only one officer has reacted or even noticed him. There’s a real problem with security personnel around this country. These people were asleep.

@RoKhanna $14 an hour and 1968? You cannot possibly be this stupid. Cars cost $3000 in 1968 houses cost $20,000 in 1968 $14 an hour means $28,000 a year in 1968. You are a mental midget stupid does not begin to define you.

I co-introduced historic legislation to increase the minimum wage to $25. As someone who taught economics at Stanford, here is why it makes sense. The real minimum wage was $14 in 1968. Today it is half, but productivity has increased 2.5x. Instead of extractive capitalism, we need a free enterprise system that pays workers what they are worth.

@RoKhanna Raising the minimum wage Means more of what we buy Will be produced in another country No We need to simply tax the wealthy more And redistribute better No way should retirees be earning so much If they are wealthy That high of minimum wage would mean less jobs around

ALERT: Chick-fil-A employee accused of using mac and cheese to steal over $80,000 from one of their locations in Grapevine, Texas. A Chick-fil-A owner reported hundreds of phony refunds to the Grapevine Police. Detectives noticed Keyshun Jones, an employee who was terminated a month prior, behind the counter and using the computer multiple times without permission. Jones allegedly would process a mac and cheese tray transaction and then refund the fraudulent purchase onto his own personal credit card. Jones did this scam about 800 times, totaling over $80,000. He then evaded arrest multiple times before the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department were able to detain him. Jones faces charges of property theft, money laundering, and evading arrest.

@ScoopzOnX @CrazyyHub Nobody signs a liability waiver that says yeah go ahead whatever happens happens. It’s on me. Only an idiot like you would do that. You hire professionals to do it the right way by going to the top and cutting and cutting it down in 3 foot sections.

@CrazyyHub They most likely signed a liability waiver, only because of the nature of the job. Who’s gonna risk their business because some home owner wants a company to do a risky job for them.
