What’s the deal with shaders and why everyone are building the fucking shaders

@dbreunig As long as they’re not mistaking busywork for being busy

@lee94josh Have you tried simply not doing the things that don’t matter

Tailwind only exists because everyone thought that organizing their CSS files was hard

@FardeemM Revenue > npm package installs
You pay the premium because you know that twilio and sinch will be around in a few years. As good as Resend is, its longevity is still a question mark.
English

I remember the day resend came out it was so obvious that this was going to be the outcome.
I mean, I don't have a crystal ball so anything could have happened and the team definitely worked so hard.
But you can just tell. Theres always some space with subpar players and the day an elite player joins the space, you immediately know that in the fullness of time they will win.
But as an amateur business anthropologist, I could never figure out why the existing players didn't just step up their game. Is it just taste? Feels too vague of an answer

@niclas1fang @cursor_ai No villains yet but I wouldn’t be giving away the sauce to Anthropic and Open AI

@bryan_king @cursor_ai Who are the bad guys, those companies that only release the close source models?
English

@zeeg Used sentry for the first time the other day and my first time ux as a moderately technical (but not devops neck beard) user was overwhelming. I don’t need all the power early on. Had to set it aside
English

On an object level, I understand the play.
But the problem is that very few companies have the discipline to provide context to the problems they’re solving.
They think they’re building a “software factory” but in reality they’re making expensive Rube Goldberg machines.
