I forgot that I internalized this book during my first year in the job. It’s not too late for you anon. You don’t need to automate your busywork, you just need to kiss it goodbye.

Every software engineer I know using coding agents is busier than they’ve ever been. Code is cheaper, but there’s no shortage jobs to be solved.

@FardeemM Revenue > npm package installs You pay the premium because you know that twilio and sinch will be around in a few years. As good as Resend is, its longevity is still a question mark.

I remember the day resend came out it was so obvious that this was going to be the outcome. I mean, I don't have a crystal ball so anything could have happened and the team definitely worked so hard. But you can just tell. Theres always some space with subpar players and the day an elite player joins the space, you immediately know that in the fullness of time they will win. But as an amateur business anthropologist, I could never figure out why the existing players didn't just step up their game. Is it just taste? Feels too vague of an answer

3 years ago, Resend didn't exist. Now, it's the most downloaded email SDK in the world.

The battle to become the context layer for companies is absolutely raging right now. Notion. Linear. Github. Google. Everyone wants to play the role of substrate for the agent workforce, but none of these companies was originally designed for this. Best of luck everyone!

@bryan_king @cursor_ai Who are the bad guys, those companies that only release the close source models?

@zeeg Used sentry for the first time the other day and my first time ux as a moderately technical (but not devops neck beard) user was overwhelming. I don’t need all the power early on. Had to set it aside

Folks using our logging product, especially folks who are early stage, what do you wish was easier, or that we'd change?

95% of everything that comes across my feed is a shiny science fair project. Look at this thing I did, you say. This is a game-changer, you exclaim. I can assure you that it’s not changing my game, friend.

I sat thru a meeting today where a bunch of pseudotechnical hacks demo’d some par cooked workflow. A bunch of shit happens, but I don’t see any working code on the other end of it. Just a bunch of invented problems.

I don't want any of this. I want an issue tracker that helps me and my homies get shit done.
