@DCComm Sure, dept chairs will get a survey about DH. A RAG would also make for a great digital dana project for an interested student. We can help.

Digital classicists: what would you say are some of the best scholarly questions in classics that require the use of data? We have a thriving data analytics program on our campus and have the opportunity create a classics track in that major.

My friend added that I'm the only person he's tried that on who hasn't threatened him afterwards.

A friend just called, a few minutes ago. "Atchoo!" he said, then hung up. Huh, I thought. Odd. Pocket dialing? He immediately called back. "Did you get it?" "Er, no." "It was a cold call!" #sundayvibes

Anyone know of a good ESL open textbook for beginners? Ideally, it would have activities where students fill in a table after asking their partner questions typical in foreign language textbooks. Closest I've found so far, pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/pdxopen/18/

Is anyone here teaching a classically-based course on public speaking? Giving a lightning talk on this topic at @scsclassics in January. I feel like it's an emerging trend, would love to have more syllabi to compare, approaches to discuss. Thank you for any leads!

@BryanAlexander As a survey? Moodle has "Feedback" if want it to be anonymous. Imagine other LMSs have something similar.

@BryanAlexander @Pinboard :) thx. I've seen a ton of the animated bar charts on youtube, so searched there. I'd start there in the future if you're looking for the same format and different data.

Question: does anyone recall a clever visualization of different nations rolling out highspeed rail over time? It's animated, covers roughly 1970-2020, and I just can't find the blasted thing.

I distinctly remember promising to save the link to @Pinboard and Diigo and then forgetting to, like an idiot.
