"Much less transparency and more cow patties. They want to open up more of our lands to cattle grazing, and in those places where there already are cattle, they want to put in more cattle, regardless of the impacts to our wildlife and our water”. kunm.org/local-news/202…

While Asha and her family have finally - FINALLY - been released, the fight continues to ensure that ideological anti-wolf, anti-science agitators don't compromise wolf recovery with unfounded fearmongering. sourcenm.com/2025/08/06/pol…

learning about Seawolves, a sub-species of wolf in the PNW whose diet is sourced mostly from the ocean. a quarter of that is salmon, but the wolves eat only the brains, seemingly to avoid a bacterial infection thats fatal for canids. they even hunt seals

20+ folks came out yesterday in 92F heat to remove about 1.5 miles of old barbed wire fencing within our National Monument. The fencing was negatively impacting wildlife movement & getting in the way of great mountain biking trails. #RGDN #Taos #NMwx #NewMexico #PublicLands

Mexico has recently agreed to send water to the U.S. to help settle a mounting debt. The compromise comes after growing political pressure to make good on a nearly 80-year-old treaty, which sees Mexico send billions of gallons of water to the U.S. | @NPR npr.org/2025/05/13/nx-…

This week, @EmnrdNM released a report showing where drought, disease, and pests are killing trees in #NewMexico forests. I mapped the past few years of data and there's a couple pests -- like the Western Spruce Budworm -- that do some serious damage. #NMwx #NMwater #PublicLands

I stood in the Rio Grande for hours to bring you a once-a-year experience where biologists rush to the river to collect silvery minnow eggs amid dangerously dry conditions — threatening the species. I got a nasty sunburn, so I expect you to listen: kunm.org/local-news/202…

A newly released report from @CenterForBioDiv shows cattle have done significant damage to New Mexico’s stream side habitat. I decided to map what the Gila National Forest looked like in 2024 and it doesn’t look too good. datawrapper.de/_/7zWOp/?v=3

@greenwoodae @CenterForBioDiv Right. I think that’s an interesting caveat. But, it’s clear we can’t trust people to do the right thing — no matter if it’s cattle management or otherwise.

@brycemdix @CenterForBioDiv Unmanaged grazing/animal impact is terrible for riparian areas. Here are some examples of what grazed creeks can look like when wetland health is factored in to the equation. It's a people problem.

Meet Romulus and Remus—the first animals ever resurrected from extinction. The dire wolf, lost to history over 10,000 years ago, has returned. Reborn on October 1, 2024, these remarkable pups were brought back to life using ancient DNA extracted from fossilized remains. Watch the pups grow up and catch exclusive videos on our YouTube channel. @itiscolossal" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@itiscolossal

@brycemdix @forestservice @EPA Is it so difficult to conceive of anyone actually presenting factual evidence which supports an opposing viewpoint that you’re left assuming anyone who does so is a bot?

You might’ve heard about these mass layoffs @forestservice, @EPA, & National Park Service… Turns out, polling shows these agencies are widely popular in the West — and, both political parties want to keep them funded. kunm.org/local-news/202…
