The new presiding officer has said he "won't stand for any misgendering" at Holyrood in relation to new trans MSPs Iris Duane and Q Manivannan.
I don't know if either have a GRC or if it's a case of self-id.
Either way, is it the case other MSPs/members of staff may have gender-critical beliefs, which are legally protected, so could lawfully refer to them as males?
Is it the PO's role to police and control speech in such a politically contentious way?

Let me tell all attendees of this event something…
There are scores of my fellow media folk desperate for you to show violence and/or disorder. They are desperate to fill their front pages & their headlines with ‘racist’, ‘far-right’ etc. Even the smallest incidents will be amplified & will become the defining images.
Agitators will be among you.
On top of this, thousands of counter protesters will be close by, marching for their own cause (as is their right) and also to show rejection of yours.
And on top of all this too, police will likely be heavy handed with you.
If you’re attending today. You will be subject to provocation. Do NOT rise to it. If you do, you will shame yourselves & your cause. You will also give politicians even more excuses to clamp down on your free speech.

The FSU is disappointed that the King's Speech included a draft bill to ban conversion therapy. Trying to force gay people to become straight is already illegal in this country, so what does the Government want to ban?
We fear Labour wants to make it a criminal offence for parents and health professionals to try to persuade gender-confused children not to embark on irreversible, life-changing medical treatment that can leave them permanently sterile and cause other lasting harms. If that is the Government's intention, we will vigorously campaign against the bill.
