International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries. The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility. Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen. Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

गैस की ‘कालाबाज़ारी’ कैसे ग़रीबों को पेट काटने पर मजबूर कर रही है! हमारी सोसाइटी के पास एक रेहड़ी पर 30₹ में एक प्लेट पूरी सब्ज़ी मिलती थी। कई बार मैं भी पैक करा कर घर आता हूँ। प्लेट में 5 पूरियाँ होती थीं। आज एक कम मिली है। देते समय ही बता दिया था कि गैस सिलिंडर महँगी हो गई है इसलिए प्लेट में पूरी 4 कर दी है। मैंने कहा रेट बढ़ा देते। बोला हमारे कस्टमर अधिकतर मज़दूर/कामगार/कम सैलरी वाले नौकरीपेशा लोग हैं। रेट 30 से 40 करता तो कस्टमर कम हो जाते। इसलिए एक पूरी कम कर दी। कस्टमर एक पूरी कम खा रहे हैं पर रेट की शिकायत नहीं कर रहे हैं। और जो अधिक पैसा दे सकते हैं वे पाँचवी पूरी भी लेकर खा रहे हैं। वरना पानी अधिक पी कर काम चला रहे हैं। सरकार कहती है LPG की क़िल्लत नहीं है। सही बात है। पर कालाबाज़ारी तो है! और उसका ख़ामियाज़ा ये कि ग़रीबों को अपना पेट काटना पड़ रहा है। Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Here is a humble thought that might merit your attention and action: a) When a plumber earns 60-70K per month but college graduates struggle to find employment for 15K per month you might consider a deep plan to cover the length and breadh of India, mapping each and every district with vocational training, skill building, enterpreneurship building education. b) Each district of India may have one Vedanta Institute center. c) Each centre will be seamlessly connected with every other center digitally. d) a Vedanta App which will work only with Indian IP addresses and be equipped to detect any VPNs stationed in India providing camouflage to non citizens. e) Any Citizen of India can submit content to this app. Say a lady in Rajasthan village has expertise in doing Mehandi. Or a saffron farmer in Kashmir can do very well in hydroponic farming of saffron and his videos on the Vedanta app can get farmers in Coonoor, Manali, Almora or Dharamshala to replicate Saffron farming for example. A plumber can make videos to make other aspiring plumbers excel at their job. A website designer can make a million other website designers champions in the same trade. Advertising Revenue that should come tax free for this foundation will also provide compensation in part to the content creators. This part of the plan would resonate with the recent announcements in the Union Budget to percolate content creation skills. So the firsst vocational training subject at each Vedanta institute District chapter would be a content creation lab in every district/ f) Next leg is to collaborate with District Magistrate of every district to obtain skills census in each district. So for example if some district has huge shortage of mobile repairing experts or say motorcycle repairing experts but their is seriously good skill say on these areas in another district. Through Digital classrooms an expert in Mobile repairing in Mumbai can teach those who have to acquire expertise in any district of India. Endless such skill shortages in every district can be thus overcome and by helping create supply of skills that are in short supply in any district an economic boom can be created. g) next leg should be each district center is also an incubation expertise center, training aspiring small enterpreneurs in how to design a sign board, a shop, create marketing for any business. h) Ultimately India is a community and each village and district a micro-community. Vedanta Institute after titrating itself to a certain critical mass can galvanie micro-finance by motivating each village household to contribute a smaller part of the total micro finance required in that village to nurture its young talent and the balance comes from micro-finance institutes. When every family in a village will contribute to the micr-financing of its young entrepreneurs a deep social monitoring and social responsibility will ensure not a penny is squandered by youthful energies in anything except business. i) Post graduate level training in Entrepreneurship , not just another MBA programme be launched so that any budding new founder of next unicorn in howsoever a remote corner of India can learn from the likes of Sridhar Vembu or any other outstanding entrepeneur where neither the Guru nor the Shishya has to travel away from their native places. Just think of this, how many scrap dealers across every district in India have the potential to reach an Anil Agarwal and learn from him how to spring up a million Vedantas? Endless! What if the passenger had, indeed, boarded the train, and went to the loo? And just then, the black cat TTE walked in! I mean, the black coat TTE! 🐈‍⬛🧥😛 Maybe the passenger went to the next coach to meet her boyfriend, to feel safer and secure, because there were some ogre looking guys like our Prime Monster! 👹😅😂😂 What if that passenger was pregnant, and could not make it to the station on time due to an emergency, and found it convenient to board from the next Station which is nearer to the hospital? The current system of boarding within 2 stations or within 2 hours is practical in such scenarioS. A passenger is NOT expected to remain the allotted seat all 24 hours. S/he would move around for different reasons, right?! And the TTE comes at the exact time? So, what's practical? As in China and other countries and in flights, check the passengers' ticket validity and credentials as they board the train, at the entrance itself, either by the Station officials before boarding the train, or by the TTE at the entrance, which would, obviously take more time. Funny the @RailMinIndia comes up with such weird ideas
