As a Catholic, it’s not hard to find Protestants who say my religion teaches a false gospel, and so it isn’t even Christian.
But these Protestants shoot themselves in the foot, because they can’t even answer the question “What is the gospel?” in a way that doesn’t undermine their own argument.

@KrazGuts @ryanburge Yes, but if "a vast majority" reach Heaven, then Hell still exists, it just has fewer occupants than expected. I don't get why so many of my fellow Latter-day Saints see this technicality as meaning "we don't believe hell exists"

@ryanburge If I remember correctly, Hell as we imagine it isn't really a thing in Mormonism. They believe that the vast majority of humanity will reach Heaven (though which 'degree' of Heaven you'll achieve is another matter entirely).

@bobsaget2018 @Sola_GPT Sure, but that "most" is doing a lot of work. Outer Darkness is just our preferred term for Hell, to distinguish it from other kinds of hell or damnation that aren't as severe, e.g. Spirit Prison, the damnation of not receiving exaltation, etc.

Many of us default (via tradition imo)to the protestant/Catholic view of hell because it uses that word in the scriptures.
And while we believe in a "hell" it ain't the same.
Most will receive a degree of Glory.

I find it fascinating how huge majorities of almost every group agrees that: People have a soul or spirit in addition to their physical bodies. Even 69% of agnostics agree with that. The huge outlier are atheists. Just one-third think that they have a soul.

@PH0ENIXSMITH @plasmarob Perhaps some JWs self-classified into that group, or played on some technicality "we don't HAVE a soul, we ARE a soul".
Atheists probably argue that consciousness is "the soul" and either emerges from matter, or is some non-physical thing that is nonetheless not ordered by God.
