Holy crap!
Here is the aftermath of that 1.2 million square foot paper products warehouse in Ontario that was set on fire by a disgruntled employee.
Toilet paper is going to cost more than gas in Gavin Newsom‘s California.

Suddenly all this floor crossing traffic is making sense.... HoC will need an upgrade at this rate. Probably be funded through the new Canadian Major Flooring Project Office

Looking at getting a sprayer trucked to Winchester (brinston area). Wondering if there are any trucks already planning to run west with a load (or visa versa) and looking to load a trailer on an opposite run and split the difference. Rt always appreciated #ontag

🚨🇨🇦 The math of the "Carney Era" is terrifying. 🚩
Federal Deficit: $78 BILLION
Ukraine Aid: $25.5 BILLION
We are effectively borrowing 1/3 of our total deficit to fund a war overseas while 2 million Canadians are hitting food banks and gas is $2.0/L.
This isn’t "leadership"…
it’s a betrayal of the Canadian taxpayer. 🛑🇨🇦

CTV: MacKinnon pushes back on Conservatives’ criticism of high-speed rail
Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon is pushing back on the Conservatives’ calls to cancel the proposed high-speed rail line between Toronto and Quebec City. High speed rail might be in the running for the dumbest move ever! Second to Trudeau Bug factory!

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has revealed that Carney spent over $500,000 on airplane food last year. That's more than the average family will spend on groceries in 30 years!!!
Carney spends even MORE on airplane food
Prime Minister Mark Carney and his entourage billed you for half a million dollars on airplane food in one year.
Loyal readers of the Taxpayer Waste Watch will remember our story about Carney spending more money on airplane food than former prime minister Justin Trudeau.
Well, we have some new numbers for you. And they’re bad…
Carney and his entourage spent $524,100 on airplane food in one year, according to government documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
That’s more than an average Canadian family will spend on groceries in 30 years.
Carney and his entourage billed taxpayers $159,000 for airplane food during a week-long trip to Athens, Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg and the Canary Islands.
Carney also billed you $94,000 on airplane food during a trip to Italy in 2025. That’s more than double what Trudeau spent on airplane food during his trip to Italy the year before.
Even when Trudeau spent $220,000 on airplane food during a trip to the Indo-Pacific, the cost worked out to $4,200 per hour. That’s still less than Carney spent on his trip to Italy.
Carney spent $21,158 on airplane food during a three-hour roundtrip to Washington D.C. That’s $7,000 per hour on airplane food.
Carney and crew also spent $60,000 on airplane food during a visit to Paris and London, and $50,000 during a trip to Belgium and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, other politicians and bureaucrats are proving it is possible to spend less while travelling abroad.
Former defence minister Bill Blair took an international trip last year. Blair’s delegation spent just $2,350 on airplane food during the entire 12-day trip.
The government’s chief of defence staff went to Washington, D.C., with members of the Canadian Armed Forces last March. They billed taxpayers zero dollars for airplane food, according to government records.
Franco’s note: The government told you it would cut down on these extravagant international trips but spending half a million dollars on airplane food doesn’t exactly scream fiscal responsibility.

Some personal news to share.
My regular column with La Presse has been suspended indefinitely this week, after 25 years and more than 1,000 columns. This was not my decision.
The decision is linked to recent public comments I made on social media regarding the evolving media landscape in Canada, including reflections on government support for media and its potential implications. I understand that these are sensitive and complex issues, and my remarks may not have aligned with the publication’s perspective.
While I am disappointed, I fully respect their decision and remain grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to contribute over the years.
I would also like to note that my contributions were always made on a voluntary basis. I was never compensated for my columns, and have personally supported La Presse through a paid subscription throughout that time. It has truly been a privilege to write for such an important institution.
I continue to believe that open, thoughtful discussions about the future of media in Canada are both necessary and healthy.

Pierre and the Conservatives are showing their true colours again.
Pierre Poilievre says he’ll cancel the Alto high-speed rail project, that’s 51,000 good-paying jobs gone.
That’s not a plan. That’s walking away from the people who build this country.
These are nation building jobs, paycheques for ironworkers, operating engineers, pipefitters, electricians, and labourers. The skilled trades that keep our communities growing.
Canada is ready to build.
Under @MarkJCarney, we’re building big and building bold, using Canadian steel, aluminum, lumber, and Canadian workers.
Real projects. Good union jobs.
