@cykros @CthyllaKassogth Agreed. I'm hoping the angle of tackling some basic online privacy and self hosted tool tutorials and having a backbone of Bitcoin throughout will get it in front of the right types of people.

@BTCsessions @CthyllaKassogth The thing that brought them in then was seeing that a new sovereign decentralized tool was available to change the equation. The thing that'll bring them in now is realizing that Bitcoin <> Crypto. It's an attention game, because a LOT of people have written it off.

@cykros @CthyllaKassogth I believe there are still a lot of people out there that have the same mentality, many of whom might not be in Bitcoin yet. I look forward to them joining the fray and learning the tools.

@CthyllaKassogth @BTCsessions I think you're forgetting how many people were just customers of the Silk Road. Especially by 2013. If there was a time when bitcoin entrants were more likely to be purists, it was definitely before 2013.

@GaudreauJordan IMO the top is still growing quite a lot (there never been more) but the bottom is growing even faster. My hope is that we have a solid self sovereign group that is able to resist and flourish in spite of the complacent majority.

@BTCsessions As Btc holders increases, the number of the bottom grows fast while the top remains relatively stagnant. But every single person we can add to the top is still worth it and a win of course.

@jiminica1 Indeed. It's kind of the reason behind starting @SOVsessions. I want to cater to a certain type of person... One that recognizes the totalitarian creep and wants to reverse it.

We will get there but we have to change the messaging on Bitcoin. There will always be folks that want BTC priced against gold or the USD. But we need to stress this is the way to be sovereign. When you understand sovereign money, you actually understand liberty and freedom mentally and physically.

They literally fly people in from some of the most dangerous places on the planet to tell their stories and learn about new tools to further their causes. Last year a women had to be hoisted onstage because she had just escaped being tortured in Tanzania and her legs were so badly beaten she couldn't walk. She STILL made the trip. I've personally worked alongside some of the most courageous people in the world that have toppled dictators. This post is wildly uninformed. You should attend sometime.
