Brazil is going insane. They're building the tallest residential tower on earth. Taller than anything in Dubai or NYC. Directly on one of the best beaches in all of South America, in the city of Balneário Camboriú. It's called The Senna Tower. Named after Ayrton Senna, Formula 1 legend. Being built by the same people behind the Burj Khalifa. 154 floors. Full of sky mansions and triple penthouses. Absolutely insane luxury. On top of that, this part of Brazil is equal to Europe in terms of infrastructure, safety, and culture. Clean streets. Completely walkable. Very high quality of life here. Miami has become too expensive. Dubai’s appeal is fading. Southern Brazil has world-class infrastructure, first-world quality of life, and is now building the most luxury tower on Earth. The gap is closing.

x.com/higgsfield/sta… I got to preview this from @higgsfield last week and was completely blown away. Some incredible new storytellers utilizing AI are entering the playing field. I have been preaching for a while, but smaller teams telling bigger stories is the way of the future!

📚 David Kadavy, author
Lots of men visiting Colombia are getting drugged, robbed, even killed by their Tinder dates. So here is my story. We had been on a couple dates, and she came over to watch a movie. She didn't seem at all like the type to drug/rob. Whenever I see them in the news stories, I kind of feel like it was obvious: lots of make-up, exaggerated plastic surgery. Clearly materialistic. Shortly after she arrives, she tells me to cover my eyes and open my mouth. Immediately I'm very nervous, and she's acting confused. Like of course I'm not going to let you feed me some random thing, strange woman. I demand to know what she wants to give me, and she reluctantly pulls out a piece of cake with custard on top, in a plastic container. She explains that her family owns a little convenience shop and she brought it from there to surprise me. I probably have to use Google Translate like five times because my Spanish is shit. I ask myself whether this cake could be laced with scopolamine, and of course it could! So what do I do? I agree to take a bite. I decide to eat just a little off the spoon. I tell myself if I feel the least bit woozy I will kick her out immediately. So I take my half-assed bite. Then… …nothing. She just wanted to surprise me with a treat. We've been married seven years.

Let me explain exactly why every new subdivision in America looks like the top photo, because the math is wild. A mature tree increases a home's value by 7 to 19 percent. On a $400,000 house, that's $28,000 to $76,000. A single shade tree produces the cooling equivalent of ten room-size air conditioners running 20 hours a day. One tree on the west side of a house cuts energy bills by 12 percent within 15 years. The bottom photo is worth more, costs less to live in, and sells faster. This has been documented by the University of Washington, Clemson, Michigan State, and the USDA. The data is not in dispute. Removing those trees saves the builder roughly $5,000 per lot. Concrete trucks need twice the dripline radius of every standing tree. Utility trenches need flat ground. A bulldozer flattens 200 lots in an afternoon. Preserving trees adds weeks and thousands per home. So the developer pockets $5,000 in savings and the buyer eats $50,000 in lost value for the next two decades. The person making the decision and the person paying for it have never been in the same room. The Woodlands, Texas is the proof of what happens when they are. George Mitchell bought 28,000 acres of Houston timberland in 1974 and preserved 28% as permanent green space. He forced McDonald's to build behind the tree canopy. That McDonald's became one of the highest-volume locations in Texas. The first office building, designed to reflect the surrounding forest so you couldn't see it from the street, leased completely. The Woodlands median home price today: $615,000. Katy, a comparable Houston suburb that clear-cut: $375,000. Named #1 community to live in America two years running. Fifty years of data. The trees are worth more than removing them saves. Developers clear-cut anyway because they sell the house once and leave. You live in it for 30 years.

Stories shape our future. Story tellers manifest our destiny. Someone, somewhere, is writing an epic screenplay that is more Star Trek, than Terminator. A vision of a compelling and optimistic tomorrow that will shape humanity’s next few decades. The cell phone, the internet, humanoid robots, self-driving cars, voice assistants, and Starships were all imagined in science fiction before they were built by engineers. Stories are blueprints. Question: What if we asked storytellers around the world to envision an epic and compelling future for humanity, and then funded them to produce that film? What if we could flood the world with positive visions of the future, rather than dystopian predictions? Announcing the Future Vision XPRIZE 🧵

Creators shouldn’t fear AI. Most should fear being average. Higgsfield AI CEO Alex Mashrabov argues that the top creators will actually become more powerful. With AI they’ll be able to build massive media empires, producing their own shows and films with relatively small teams. AI won’t replace great creators. It will expose the replaceable ones.

The internet didn't kill music. It killed Tower Records. Streaming didn't kill TV. It killed the cable bundle. Every disruption looks the same from the inside. The thing that changes isn't the art. It's the infrastructure the gatekeepers built around it. Hollywood's infrastructure was capital. Cameras. Crews. Locations. Post-production pipelines most people can't afford. The barrier was never talent. There were always more great storytellers than the system had room for. A startup just removed the infrastructure requirement. Consistent characters. 4K. Commercial rights included. We're at the Napster moment for film. Most people haven't adjusted their mental model yet. The ones who move this month will have an advantage that takes years to close.
