@bulletbone @bonchieredstate There's no possible representation that isn't damning. He's self-flagellating with the prejudicial valence of a black candidate who refers to white people as "yts" or "honkies".

In @nytopinion The four richest Californians paid 0.07% of their wealth in income tax from 2019 to 2025. A trailblazing tax on billionaire wealth could change that, write two economists who advised on the measure. nyti.ms/4fakpQb

Six years ago today, George Floyd’s murder started a global movement for change. Let us continue working to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals of liberty and justice for all.

JACKSON, MS — Customers at a local Waffle House say they are “deeply confused” after discovering that 31-year-old Terrence Coleman allegedly worked as a cook for nearly four months despite never being officially hired. According to employees, Terrence simply walked into the kitchen one night wearing black shoes, a sweat towel over his shoulder, and the confidence of a man who says “watch this” before every bad decision. Workers reportedly assumed he was training at another location because he moved with “aggressive breakfast energy.” “He never looked lost,” one waitress explained. “He yelled things like: ‘WHERE MY HASHBROWNS AT?’ and ‘Somebody order scattered confidence?’ so we just accepted him.” Customers say Terrence became known for: • calling bacon “breakfast ribbons” • seasoning everything with alarming enthusiasm • referring to eggs as “morning meat” • screaming “HEAL UP!” whenever plates left the kitchen • and cooking one steak entirely based on “spiritual timing” One customer claims Terrence stared directly into the grill and whispered: “You not finna beat me today.” The scheme reportedly collapsed after Terrence attempted to baptize a waffle in butter and called it: “Southern crème brûlée.” Police say Terrence was detained peacefully after trying to clock out despite not existing in the payroll system. When questioned, he allegedly responded: “To be fair… ain’t nobody complain about the food.” Social media has already given him the nickname: “Chef Manifestation.” #WaffleHouse #AggressiveBreakfastEnergy

@hashjenni To “eliminate the deficit” He borrowed $8B from the state with interest, instantly locking himself into a minimum $7B deficit next year. The remainder he got from delaying pension payments and robbing government services. That’s not “leading effectively”. That’s stupid.

George Floyd should be alive today. On the anniversary of his murder, our hearts break for his family and community. Nothing will bring George Floyd back to his loved ones – to his little girl, Gianna. But there is work left for all of us to do.
