A lone operator sits amongst the carnage of a raid carried out under Project Omega. Project Omega was a joint task force pairing CIA paramilitary elements with US Tier 1 special operations units, including JSOC operators from Delta Force, DEVGRU, and other compartmented assets. The mission set: hunt high value targets in the most remote and dangerous corners of Afghanistan and beyond, places where conventional forces couldn’t go and questions weren’t asked when they came back. Some of the operators attached to Omega Teams were photographed wearing the CIA Special Activities Center/Ground Branch patch alongside tiger stripe desert camo. A small detail. For those who know what they’re looking at, those two visual markers tell you exactly who was on target that night, and that the men in the room weren’t on any official military roster the public would ever see. These weren’t conventional raids. They weren’t conventional men. The ones who walked out of these compounds rarely talked about what happened inside. Most of them never will.

@cecegkh To answer your question, most on the ship are on vacation, relax. I never got the appeal for cruise ships. Maybe I was spoiled with all-inclusives. Those have designated restaurants with/without dress code. Booze and tips are paid for as well.

@buperac @ShoreSaw Once hunting hit main stream, it got out of hand with a quickness. I remember a time where you offered to help a farmer in exchange for the ability to hunt their ground. That was before the internet and stuff.

@SGTWipper1Each I was in a hurry with chores and used gas to light a burn barrel. The mushroom cloud as I called it engulfed my whole arm. Luckily I still had an arm. The burn was only 1st degree. That doesn't sound bad, but that much of an area hurt like a sob.

A pair of California Air National Guard F-15s (RAZOR 01 flt) based at the Fresno IAP performed a flyover of the Clovis Rodeo Saturday for the National Anthem. At approximately 2:30 p.m. the pilot declared an emergency because the canopy departed the aircraft. The F-15 landed safely back at KFAT. Audio via @liveatc and Bill B.
