@JamesKelly The theory is wrong. Try blaming people who don't use their vote rather than people who worked for a pro-independence cause. Small fry or not, ALS has done more for Scottish sovereignty in three months than the SNP has done in nearly 12 years.

Theoretically, the tiny vote share for the "Alliance to Liberate Scotland" may have handed the Western Isles to Labour, because it exceeded the margin of victory. I doubt if it really swung the balance, but hopefully it's a wake-up call about the dangers of these fringe parties.
