A change to MLS I would advocate for that will piss people off, but I think would be a huge win for the league and long-term USA player development. Add a 4th DP spot exclusively for USMNT eligible players. This would incentivize spending on American talent.

USMNT was in the game against Belgium, playing much better after Gio subbed on, score 1-2, when our best player broke his leg trying to shoot - then an MLS player fucked up worse than we’ve ever seen, and the game / dream was over (done).

Everyone should support their local MLS club—or at least a team in this country. The biggest issue with #MLS, though, is the speed of play. Watch an #EPL match and the pace is on a completely different level. It’s faster, more technical, and simply more entertaining.
MLS is also making a huge mistake with its schedule. Soon it’ll be competing even more directly with the NFL—the biggest sport in America. That’s an uphill battle if your goal is to grow the game.
On top of that, fans need another subscription just to watch #MLS. If you want casual sports fans to fall in love with soccer, making it harder to watch isn’t the answer.

I could win MLS with an average 2. Bundesliga team. Not because of the talent level but because of the tactical schooling players receive in the first two divisions in Germany. Just look at St. Louis, they do a ton of basic things right and decoded this league in no time.

We don't need MLS in the USA soccer promotion/relegation system.
Let MLS go play off on its own without USA's division 1 sanction. NFL or NBA don't need a division 1 sanction so MLS will be just fine in its little corner.
