Does anyone know what happened to the lad outside of Tesco (next to the ground) who had emergency help from the police and ambulance crew who made compressions & a defibrillator on his chest? It was incredibly concerning, is he okay?

@SJ_NUFC @Mrtn2777 No it wasn't a fight A lad collapsed outside of the Tesco on Barrack Road about an hour before the match, police carried out CPR and he has apparently been taken to the RVI and is in a stable condition

This season we have had the FA Cup, the carabou, champions league to pay for. I mean I paid £65 for qarabag at home but £45 for Barca away. So yeah it’s an issue.

The club has officially dropped the details for the 2026/27 Season Ticket renewals, and there’s plenty to digest—from price hikes to stadium reshuffles. Here’s the lowdown on what’s changing at St. James’ Park. 🗣️ The Big Talking Point: Price Increases Let’s get the tough stuff out of the way first. Prices are going up. Most standard seats (Cats 1-3) will see a 5% increase, which works out to about an extra £3.92 a month if you’re on the interest-free Direct Debit. If you’re in the premium spots like Bar 1892 or the Platinum Club, you’re looking at a steeper 15% jump. Cup scheme information is to follow. The club’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Hopkinson, fronted up about the decision, acknowledging that while the news won't be popular, it’s a "responsible" necessity to keep us competing in the Premier League. He said: "I want to be completely open about the decision to raise ticket prices. We fully understand this will not be popular news, and it is not a decision we take lightly. But the reality is that without making responsible increases, we cannot continue progressing or competing at the level we all expect and aspire to." July 2026: Digital tickets will be ready to download to your phones. ♿ Changes to Accessibility & Family Areas There are some significant shifts coming for specific sections of the ground: Accessibility: The disability discount is moving from a 50% reduction to a 25% reducrion. While this brings us more in line with other Premier League clubs, the free Personal Assistant ticket remains. Plus, following talks with NUDSA, the club is bringing in new dedicated matchday support to help fans get around the ground. Level 7 Reconfiguration: The Family Area in the Milburn Stand is being adjusted. As kids grow up and "age out" of family criteria, the club needs to balance those seats with standard season tickets. If you’re affected, the club says they’ll be in touch. 👷 Investing in the SJP Experience 🏟️ It’s not just about taking more money; the club is putting £1m+ back into the stadium. The "use it or lose it" era continues, but the club is keeping the official resale and transfer options open.
