Excited to have spoken at *AgentCon - Toronto* this weekend! My session, “The Math Behind RAG: Demystifying Embeddings and Cosine Similarity,” focused on helping developers understand what actually happens under the hood of Retrieval-Augmented Generation instead of treating it as a black box. We built a live RAG pipeline step-by-step using *Azure AI Search* as the vector database and *Azure OpenAI* Service with *Azure AI Foundry* for embeddings and generation. I walked through the notebook commands live and also shared documentation and a runnable notebook so attendees can provision their own resources and recreate the pipeline. Huge thanks to the @GlobAICommunity, @hboelman, Ehsan Eskandari, Alixia Blanc, Luca Gobbi and all the volunteers for organizing an amazing event and bringing together builders exploring the future of AI agents and developer tooling.
