He may call himself “Reverend”, but he sure isn’t a pastor in the Biblical sense. Romans chapter 1 is a direct refutation of “queer theology”.

Why don’t you debate with Scripture? You think that dismissing every comment as just wrong is debate. It’s YOUR comment and you only engage with a direction to read YOUR opinion. No Scripture. I would say the vast majority of Christians who insist homosexuality is inherently wrong refuse to study affirming/queer theology. And not just randos on the internet, pastors and teachers who claim to be Bible experts. Their certainty is based on zero research.

@Blackadder2024 @JesseKellyDC The clear air you see is a result of the catalytic converter, for the most part. The cat needs almost no maintenance and it is simple to replace. All the bureaucracy surrounding the tests is silly, and in and of itself doesn’t add anything to the process.

Before the election there was no harm inflicted on citizens, thereby nothing to pass judgment on. They had to allow the vote to take place, otherwise there was nothing to rule on. The VASC has previously been very focused on the process and has not allowed even minor infractions of Constitutional procedure.

When she begged me to let her be homeschooled for high school I refused. I was worried she’d hide out in her bedroom all day and get weird. I had been a public school teacher and advocate. I wasn’t a homeschool parent. After watching yet another blood-boiling, unproductive virtual school board meeting in February 2021, I agreed to let her try it. I was nervous. I didn’t know it then, but she had already reached out to a neighbor (via snail mail) about helping out with her horses and had big plans for the future. My daughter graduated almost a year early from high school, had lots of time to earn money to pay for a car and dog, and plenty of opportunities learn more about her hobby. Today, she’s the proud owner of these guys with quite a following on TikTok (over 50k) where she shares the day-to-day routine of caring for animals. I’m not saying homeschooling is for everyone, but I encourage parents not to be too quick to dismiss the opportunities that it might open up for their children that the traditional path may not.

@PatriciaHeaton @PolitiBunny So glad you are feeling better. I often feel that birds, given the example of the dove alighting on Jesus after His baptism, are very close to the Holy Spirit. So when I am around birds, I am always reminded of His goodness and care for me.

Woke up this morning struggling with worldly dissatisfaction and discontent and a general spiritual frustration and unease in my soul. It was a mood that was not of God and was not healthy spiritually. So I battled it with gratitude - started thanking Him for the birds I could hear singing (I love birds so much!), then for the trees, then for the fact that I had been given another day of life. Prayed for my boys, had a small spat with hubs (natch), resolved it (after 36 years you don’t give too much weight to these things), had a phone meeting that could have gone off the rails but ended up on a very positive note. Feeling much better. Thank you Jesus. If your Monday started off badly, start with the birds and work your way back to Him.
