I don't think UoP getting in the tournament by manipulating scheduling is any better for the sport than the big four monopoly. UoP needed to beat Fordham and/or win their conference.

I agree Stanford is the better team BUT what's better for @NCAAWaterPolo_ ? When's the last time a non MPSF team got the at-large berth?

@NCAA_Water_Polo I would go so far as to say what UoP is doing is immoral as far as sports are concerned but at least it's cowardly and anti-competitive. I don't think you'd see other programs claiming to be too water polo schools ever doing this.

@NCAA_Water_Polo Most importantly, pacific lost to a 16th ranked CBU at conference. Stanford played a harder schedule and is a better team. Pacific is a paper tiger and the fact that they are relying so much on rpi etc since they couldn't win their own conference reveals that.
