#writingcommunity Sorry for the silence. Our computers were stolen in Medellin so lots of things have been put on hold. Luckily the writing was backed up. I’ve bought a pen and paper but the words are struggling to flow. Hope everyone is doing better with their writing than I am!

@NumeralForce @serialsemantic So sweet of you. Just when I’d said to you that Medellin was safe 😝 but seriously, I think it is, it was a very unlikely incident, a friend of ours got drugged and led back to the apartment, we weren’t there fortunately at the time, and he’s ok now

@NumeralForce Very true. Thank you. Exactly, all the material stuff can be replaced. And the shock of it all is starting to fade. Excited to get back on it when my brain decides it’s time! I’m sure it’ll make a great story one day!

@GerryBerryHines I agree. I often find that initial spark is created when I visit a place, but then I'm never sure whether returning there will help or hinder the creative process!

@byOliverBussell It definitely helps for me to have at least been there once. I would say if I’m currently somewhere and I have a curiosity about something, then I can go check it out.

@RMSoar Awesome. So are you writing about Spain then? Yeah I found heading back to London gave me an inspirational boost but then I needed to leave for it to form into a story aside from reality!

@byOliverBussell I do! Although I can get by with Google Maps images as well 😂 I have a strong sense of nostalgia, which I drew upon for many months in my writing after I left Spain. It's truly a beautiful and inimitable place.

@NumeralForce Exactly, everyone I talked to was terrified. I think you have to be careful but I think a lot of that reputation is just radiation left over from Narco times
