@StarterScript @colliderfrosty This is true for a lot of films, but I don’t think the point of any $150 million production would ever be to fail theatrically so they can sell it on VOD for $20.

@colliderfrosty Releases like this aren't meant to sell tickets. They exist because of minimums in distribution contracts (X amount of U.S. screens opening weekend) and because higher VOD pricing is tied to a theatrical release.

This is the first time I’m hearing about this movie. Never got one email about the production or screenings. Not a surprise it made no money.

@rpjpaints @bwags You’re required to turn in all drafts during the writing process to show who wrote what, and writers don’t get credit unless they contributed at least 33% of the script. There were already four credited writers on DUE DATE, so RDJ probably couldn’t prove that he wrote 1/3 of it.

@BarryJenkins Hey Barry, hard to believe this tweet was almost 5 years ago! I'm finally close to getting my first feature off the ground after shooting a proof of concept last year & would love to share it with you. (We even called in a favor to shoot with HAWK Anamorphics like on Moonlight!)

@davidehrlich A lot of non film Twitter associated folx love RATCHED. It was a huge success in terms of eyeballs. Hollywood was fun. And Halston got ole McGregor an Emmy! Plenty of creatives have done worst.
