We don't allow VCs in our rounds. They see you as a financial asset: something to mark up, trade around, and exit as soon as they can. That mindset is almost perfectly misaligned with building real technology. Genuine 100x outcomes do not come from hype. They come from building something so valuable that the world rearranges around it. That takes time, iteration, and technical depth. The point of this raise is to build a large computer. It's an engineering dream, not a bean-counter one. Big computers can be very profitable, especially when everyone else is overpaying 5x for theirs. But profitability is downstream. The real objective is to build the machine. Imagine commanding 20 exaflops. Imagine watching a thousand silicon people come to life in a box. Eventually, the cloud providers will have to confront a basic fact: AI economics look much more like crypto mining than like overpriced SaaS. Money matters. Efficiency matters. But only because they let you build a bigger computer. Money is a map. The machine is the territory.

@kdhrubo @htmx_org @unpolyjs I'm using htmx with a video player and will actually at some point do editing. A couple of web components but they only move the player state to dom and watch for changes. No issues so far and the path ahead is clear.

@htmx_org HTMX great most projects. BTW i also like @unpolyjs. Unless you have loads of client side state like web based code editor, diagramming, pic or video editing, which are probably 10% of the apps, HTMX and friends are best tool for faster and more secure applications /products.

Well, the process today is basically you take payment and report the amount without vat to Skatteverket together with vat number and they handle everything else. The company will pay the vat in their country, at whichever rate they have to their Skatteverket or equivalent. Super simple!

@Jymdis @nylanderjens I don't know what it is like now, we had to report rates. At first we repported swedish rates, because no one had higher. As we grew iirc at least handled larger countries with lower rates accurately. Skatteverket definitely did not help other than forwarding

What was the pain in Europe? You need the company tax Id, you send the id with the amount to Skatteverket and they handle the rest with all EU countries. Fortnox handles it automatically. In US you need to handle each state separately which also can have different sales taxes down to city block level.
