@SN0PPP @KarlEmerald @k_eropi Yeah, if that's what i mean by entire codebase, if you actually understand what the llm is writing it'll work out, if it's just writing "recomp plz no mistakes" and clicking accept over and over it's not going work out well and you'll end up with huge mess
English

@calirata @KarlEmerald @k_eropi its all about how you structure and treat ai code. if u just type "build x" theres a high chance it messes alot of stuff up. But most serious programmers treat ai generated code with the same respect they treat human code. by doing code reviews and writing tests.
English

@KarlEmerald @k_eropi People don't seem to understand that making an LLM write an entire project causes a huge mess of a codebase that no one understands, plus a bunch of bugs that occur that no one can fix but the LLM in due of that. And that's if the LLM doesn't create new bugs with the "fix" lol
English

@k_eropi I’m just worried as to what extent AI was used here, don’t want a buggy mess to come around
English

@y_bfan @ChurroDBurro @ImTheTurbo @KarlEmerald We're very clearly talking about LLMs, what are you on about?
English

@ChurroDBurro @ImTheTurbo @KarlEmerald Ai has been apart of coding for decades it’s not something new
English

@SubjectX2008 @KarlEmerald That only matters if they're actually any good, and from what I've read it runs worse than emulation.
English

@KarlEmerald You know, if it weren't for the AI, we wouldn't have an explosion of these decomps
English

@gjmrisopj92270 @KarlEmerald The real question is if it's better than dolphin
English

@hl2rtxofficial I hope we get a percent bar on the website that shows how many assets have been finished. No one knows if this project comes out in a week or 3 years lol
English

@MaizonoLover @hl2rtxofficial This account doesn't respond to people, just to let you know.
English

@hl2rtxofficial I feel like I've seen every single asset in the game completed by now. It's insane how many there were for a 2004 game. Can you give us a number of completed assets vs the full amount to give us an idea how much further there is to go?
English

@AydanJPK @hl2rtxofficial I wonder how the character models will look, if they're going to use some of the Alyx models.
English

@hl2rtxofficial I'm looking forward to the character models and the vortigaunt specifically, also to kleiner and barney

@Tankman1319 @MagicMushMM Did you see the image? He's google translating his way through this nightmare.
English

@MagicMushMM Hope your Japanese reading is good Mush. God speed

@BR0CCOLI_ROB @SadlyItsBradley They just revoked it because some guy was having issues on win10

Released in today’s Steam Client Beta:
“Added an experimental video codec, Pyrowave, which allows high bandwidth, low latency video streaming.
You can enable this in the Remote Play advanced client settings, and it ignores bitrate settings, using at least 250 Mbit/s. This is currently best supported on Windows.”
Brad Lynch@SadlyItsBradley
Valve is preparing Pyrowave video encoding for Steam Link Pyrowave is a really fast/low-latency GPU encoder that is entirely based on Vulkan. And was designed strictly for streaming Games WiVRn, an open source wireless PCVR streaming app, has also been using this experimentally

@Ekovwxyzz @MikeMorasky @DJComps_art McVicker said they were updating it to include HLX stuff but considering that Mike didn't even know about it, I really doubt it.
English

@MarioKartAX Hope you're right, but Nintendo files patents constantly, it doesn't mean an executive didn't just go to the office and say "Ehhhh, I'm not feeling this anymore, we're canceling this."
English

@virucid_ @SadlyItsBradley @SteamDB FEX has gotten to a point where anything that runs on the deck will probably run here
English

@SadlyItsBradley @SteamDB Is there any way we will be able to view these as they start getting added? I’d love to know how much of my Deck’s library would work on the Frame
English

@MarioKartAX Everything out in the open has already been taken down long ago. After the direct, I don't think it's coming out.
English

@stemitchell @SadlyItsBradley You saw the machine's price and you think it's going to be 799?
English

@SadlyItsBradley What's your thoughts on the possible Frame price Brad? $799? I'll probably get one even if it's more, as I am a penis.
English

I guess I never really talked about this yet
The past few months: Valve has been working on specialized VR overlays that run on a PC, and streamed to Headsets (as mentioned by Ben’s QT below)
They are referred to as “Remote Frames” and I have major curiosity of how they’ll work

Ben Lang@benz145
Little tidbit of info from Valve: "SteamVR overlays are supported locally on Steam Frame, and we will be working on deeper integration for overlays running on connected streaming PCs in the coming months." @SadlyItsBradley
English

@freeeDeadly @hl2rtxofficial Hopefully hardware gets powerful enough by then that this won't run at 20-30fps with DLSS like in the demo
