We should appreciate MLA Prasad Abbayya for taking this initiative in his constituency. Gabbur road, Karwar road, Gudihal road got proper decorative streetlights. Meanwhile, the other two MLAs of twin cities haven't shown similar interest to give us proper working streetlights, forget decorative ones. Areas like Gokul road, Vidyanagar, Dharwad's college road still have basic poles. In fact the poles on College road continue to have banners, and HDMC didn't even bother to remove it. No repainting of pole too. BRTS authorities are on another level when it comes to providing working streetlights. The lights that are working have poor illumination due to the height of the poles. They could have reduced the pole height by 5ft. BRTS authorities are not easily reachable to public regarding grievances. That's the main problem. In Hubballi-Dharwad, getting proper working streetlights itself has become a matter of celebration- forget decorative lighting.

Dear Times Now the order is inclusive, stop pushing half-truths to manufacture outrage. This order is not just about the Hijab. It equally recognises Janivara, Turban, Mangalya, Shivadhara, Rudraksha and other symbols of faith and tradition while continuing the uniform policy. Stop misleading people for TRPs and division.

@googlemaps, please correct your map, Dharwad city is completely removed and shown as Hubli. Either show it as Hubli-Dharwad or show separately Dharwad and Hubli. Looks like someone purposely did it. The address line of all major areas of Dharwad changed to Hubli. @varungrao

@googlemaps Thanks for the response. This is not a business/place issue — it’s an incorrect city boundary/fencing issue affecting Dharwad & Hubli representation on Google Maps. I’m reporting it through “Suggest an edit” as advised, but this needs proper review from the Maps data team.

Clicking on Hubli shows both Hubli & Dharwad together, while clicking on #Dharwad highlights only a tiny portion of the actual city. This is misleading and unacceptable for users, businesses, navigation, and local identity. Please rectify the city boundary issue immediately.

Dharwad-Solapur Passenger train now has stoppage at Unkal (UNK), Hubballi. With this UNK becomes the 4th station (NVU-Navalur also has for the same) in Hubballi-Dharwad to have stoppage for long-distance trains @Hubballi_Infra @sachin80025 @varungrao @Namma_HD @semicon_hd2030

So FINALLY after "43 DAYS" @HdmcHubliDwd has woken up.. *Work has commenced for cleaning the Kelgeri Lake..Now waiting to see to what extent they'll clean it. @HdmcHubliDwd must take appropriate measures to stop the sewage water entering the lake & ensure timely maintainance
