A retired lawyer in the U.S. was watching the news when he saw the story about the new Trump commemorative coin and something immediately didn't sit right with him. So he did what lawyers do. He went digging... And he found it. A federal law passed in 1866 that explicitly prohibits living people from appearing on U.S. currency. It's not a grey area. It's not open to interpretation. It's been sitting in the books for over 150 years. The last time this actually happened was 1926 when a coin featuring Calvin Coolidge was minted while he was still alive and serving as president. The backlash was immediate. The coins were pulled. And the law was reaffirmed... Now this retired lawyer has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Mint not because of who is on the coin, but because the law says it simply cannot be done. Full stop... No political agenda. No protest. Just one guy, a dusty legal statute, and a federal case that nobody in Washington apparently saw coming

From Kai Trump’s YouTube influencer grifting, using the Secret Service for clicks and cash, to her father and uncle’s drone contracts with the Pentagon - there is no aspect of American life where the First Family are not demanding a piece of the action and tilting the scales in their favor. Trump has demanded a ten billion dollar vig from the new owners of Tik Tok for his part in brokering their recent deal with a consortium of American backers including the odious Oracle owners, Larry and David Ellison. I am so glad this is getting more coverage. Fox erased fallen soldiers to make Trump look better. I guess all coffins are the same on Fox. They just made it much worse. It's incredibly disgraceful to the service people who died to replace the footage.

So apparently white Americans in Minneapolis are putting Mexican flags on their cars so ICE agents waste time pulling them over. They call it ICE fishing. 🤣😂

As usual, it's you that doesn't get it. He actually does get it, he just refuses to acknowledge the difference between loving your country and endorsing every action taken by its government. The athlete is not rejecting the flag or the country. They are explicitly saying they are proud to compete, grateful for the support of friends and family, and honored to be there. What they are rejecting is the false idea that wearing the flag means unconditional agreement with everything happening politically. That distinction is the entire point, and it is a very American one. Patriotism is not blind obedience. It is the freedom to say, I care enough about this country to be honest about my discomfort, my values, and my conscience. That freedom is exactly what separates the United States from authoritarian systems where athletes are required to perform loyalty on command. Saying some things are bigger than politics cuts both ways. Moral values, personal integrity, and free expression are bigger than politics too. An athlete acknowledging mixed emotions while still showing up, still competing, and still representing their community is not weakness, it is maturity. Telling someone to go home because they do not conform to a demanded political posture misses the core idea of what the flag represents. The flag stands for the right to dissent, the right to criticize, and the right to serve your country without surrendering your conscience. The athlete understands that perfectly. Byron is the one flattening patriotism into something it has never been.

The United States is one of the few world governments that does not directly fund it’s Olympic team. It is fully funded by corporate sponsorships and private donations. Which means our athletes don’t represent the American government. They represent the American people.

The video shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that the driver of the vehicle turned her wheels to avoid the ICE agents who surrounded her, screamed profanity at her, and gave her conflicting orders. They escalated the situation, they put the public in danger, they killed her without justification, and they kept firing at her after her car had turned past them. Everyone should ask why the Trump Administration keeps lying about this — why they are telling you to disbelieve your own eyes. An American citizen in a peaceful neighborhood gunned down by masked agents sent there to make people afraid. The Vice President’s lies are despicable.
