@DavidCBets I know my reply had little to do with the topic of the head coaching choice, which I didn’t support. Just my opinion. I might have watched 2 games this past season and I didn’t watch the First Four. Didn’t care for Wade to begin with or the whole season. Was glad he left!
English

@DavidCBets After reading this entire thread, I’m just sick on my stomach! This why I don’t even care anymore. I was in the Wolfpack Club for 30 years! Not anymore. Student athletes do not exist. Just spoiled brats going to the highest bidder. NCAA is just a professional minor league.
English

@WildspurYarns @tdgator9 @MJB_18990 I did use google. Found short list of nba coaches to college with minimal success, at best. Exception, Hoiberg to Nebraska. College to nba is even a worse success rate. Point is, 2 different worlds! You may be on to something, though, since college basketball now is pro basketball
English

@canislupus90 @tdgator9 @MJB_18990 Maybe do a google search and find out what the "B" in NBA stands for🤔
English

@WashRick @LeeFouler of the game. 33-30 State at the half. Wolfpack wound up leading by double figures in the second half. Can’t remember exactly but I want to say 15-20 points but Georgia mounted furious comeback but we were able to hang on for the win, 67-60.
English

@canislupus90 @LeeFouler Hey, we made it to Final Four once! I never watched basketball growing up, nor in college. Moved to NC, started watching ACC and the Heels, learned to love college basketball. Sue me!
English

@WashRick @LeeFouler Yes, I remember, 1983. I appreciated Georgia knocking the Holes out of the Elite 8, 82-77. We split the 2 games with UNC during regular season and beat them in ACC Tournament. Didn’t want to see them, anymore. We actually had an easy time of it vs Georgia in semfinals for most…
English

@Oceanbreeze473 Oh I miss the good ole days or actually 39 days ago when the Strait of Hormuz WAS open and I could fill up my car for 40 dollars instead of 70!!
English

@Oceanbreeze473 I remember feeling sorry for the Gorn after the battle. I was relieved that Kirk spared him especially since it appeared that Starfleet Command and the United Federation of Planets may have been in the wrong for colonizing a planet in Gorn territory.
English

@WashRick @LeeFouler But as long as we’re talking mediocrity, Georgia basketball has a long proud tradition, there.
English

@LeeFouler @fischermichael0 Considering how comfortable NC State is with mediocrity I can see why you would say Hubert should not have been fired. Enjoy another minor bowl game in Birmingham again!
English

@WashRick @thelegendaryJT3 @LeeFouler The sad part, as a State fan, is in the question itself. NC State has never played in an ACC title game. The last time NC State won a conference championship in football was 1979, years before the ACC and other conferences started having title games. So Jimmy Carter!
English

@thelegendaryJT3 @LeeFouler @fischermichael0 Who was President the last time State played in an ACC title game in football? Grover Cleveland?
English

@KeepingItHeel Y’all know they don’t play defense in the NBA. Just sayin!
English

@mike_winegarden @IRanMediaco We had a sweetheart agreement in place that would prevent them from ever making a nuclear weapon and most impressively allowed inspections of their facilities to ensure that Iran wasn’t going back on the deal! We had all that til tRump took office in ‘17 and ripped it up!!
English

@IRanMediaco I guess you’d rather have a nuclear weapon headed to the United States rather than stopping it now. For all of you that are against this war. I also guess you don’t care about all the US citizens that Iran killed.
English

@LeeFouler Plus the LSU women’s basketball is a perennial top 10 program and won the 2023 national championship.
English

I see the fans of LSU have the same degree of honesty as Wade. LSU has won a bunch of Nattys in football and baseball. They should be proud. But they couldn’t bring themselves to put that zero on men’s basketball and LIED.
THE LANE TRAIN - LSU@TheLaneTrainLSU
@MarcusGomez1313 @BarstoolPack @LupusBeowulf @LeeFouler @mttlnrd @tuffycentral Sit this out. LSU brand itself is 2-3x what NC STATE is. People come here for the name that doesn’t happen at NC state. Literally a tier 4 athletic program in college sports
English

@JeromeSmit6510 @CoachCherry93 Nope. They were a 2 year blip on the national scene. Unsustainable. To me blue bloods win national championships. National powers compete year in and year out for championships. Top ten year every year. Sign the top players. I guess we just disagree on the definition of the two.
English

@canislupus90 @CoachCherry93 National powers win national championships. Was butler a national power of the late 2000s, early 2010s?
English

@JeromeSmit6510 @CoachCherry93 UConn was never really thought of as a nationally relevant program until their breakout year in Jim Calhoun’s 4th season when they went 31-6 and went to the Elite 8 but then 9 years to win first title. I agree, they belong on the list but so Duke.
English

@canislupus90 @CoachCherry93 That’s only 8 years after duke one their first
English

@PackPower247 @Charlie_Grib @RCorySmith @s_t_editz @MasercolaMiles @MattNorlander @CoachGainey @ScottWood15 Your pathway into college athletics was an administrative internship from Lee Fowler to help expand the diversity of athletics. Full circle to that you're back here at NC State as the second African American Coach.
English

"When you watch us play on TV, I want you to be able to say that's the hardest playing team in the country. That's what we're hanging our hat on."
Everything newly minted NC State head coach Justin Gainey said in his breakout period with the media:

@forevered1111 @CoachCherry93 UCLA won 1995 NCAA title, their 11th. Recent Final Fours, 2006 lost to Florida in title game. 2007 and 2008, so 3 straight there, and most recently 2021, their 19th Final Four in program history!
English

@CoachCherry93 When did Kentucky and UCLA last win a Natty? Asking for a friend
English

@CoachCherry93 Even before winning titles in 91 & 92, Duke had a long national legacy. Duke was a national power over the years, losing to UCLA in ‘64 title game, UCLA’s first title. Duke lost to Kentucky in ‘78 title game and then Louisville in ‘86. So they were always close.
