They also spend too much time doing end of Season and pre season tours. They also have big squads, Academies and youth systems stockpiling youngsters where many get sent out on loan or part of Multi Club Ownership. There is 92 clubs into the top four leagues not just the elite.

Reality is that stupid schedule from the English FA and PL has destroyed the PL teams this season, the games are just too many. Teams in Europe shouldn't play in the league cup, but nope, it's traditional so it's sacrosanct, no matter how stupid the traditional is, they still play two legged ties in league cup semis for no reason ffs. PL teams get no winter break and no time to rest. PL teams worked themselves in the first half of the season and have nothing left now
