🆘🆘 TONY, 3 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC 🆘🆘 - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/24/2024, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit - too many animals already 😿 – TBD 6/1/24🔥😱 TOO LOW ON PLEDGES A volunteer writes: Tony is known to be a shy cat and his stay at the care center, away from his usual premises and 30 housemates, has made him rather fearful and avoidant. He stays mainly in his cubby, in his litter box, and roams inside his kennel at night, when no one is around. Lately, though, Tony started to play with a feather and to rest on his balcony. His former owner says that Tony was friendly with his fellow kitties and was a very playful pet with his family. Tony came to us a bit thin and with dental issues needing attention. He is also FeLV+(more information can be obtained from the adoption counselors). and should only be adopted or fostered as a solo cat or join another FeLV+ kitty.💖😺 🆘🆘3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – LITTLE ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME🆘🆘😱🔥🔥😱 TONY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - a bit overwhelmed, anxious and stressed in shelter and according to staff - “not warming up.” This designation often means the cat is given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. He's still figuring out shelter life, so he's usually not at the front seeking pets and neck scritches. Baby does, however, look for love and attention in the form of play time!
