◽ CIP-0105: SV Locking: Super Validators now tie their governance weight to how much of their earned Canton Coin they keep locked onchain.
◽ CIP-0107: 24h Submission Delay: Canton Coin transactions now have a 24-hour signing window, up from 10 minutes.
◽ CIP-0106: @QCPgroup joins as a Super Validator (Weight 5): Their milestones are tied to bringing tokenized money market funds and RWAs onchain and into active collateral workflows.
◽ CIP-0109: @Visa joins as a Super Validator: The company that processes trillions in global payments annually is now part of Canton's governance and operating infrastructure.
Each CIP tightens how Canton Coin works, strengthens the validator set, and refines incentives as the @CantonNetwork scales.

Circle is the company behind USDC, a fully backed, regulated digital dollar with $37B+ in TVL.
USDCx is now live on Canton. A USDC-backed stablecoin with full Canton privacy, built on Circle xReserve, the first time a USDC-backed stablecoin operates with institutional grade privacy and cross-application composability on a public L1.
Institutions on Canton can now settle 24/7, atomically, with a familiar dollar asset that stays private by default. Fully interoperable across Canton apps via CIP-56.

A few things the FUD misses:
>> built for regulated markets, not casino flow
>> configurable privacy by design
>> no toxic MEV surface from visible mempools
>> real adoption across repo, collateral, tokenized assets, payments
>> serious institutions validating and building on it
>> not trying to be “everything chain”, just the rail capital markets actually need
>> network-level metrics are out in the open through public dashboards
The only difference is the critics are posting takes, while Canton already has 600+ institutions and projects building, validating, and trusting the network!!!!

Protocol Development Fund (FAQ 1/5): Who can apply? 🔍
Anyone can propose work that benefits Canton as a network.
There are three common paths in:
→ Committee led proposals: Tech & Ops members can submit proposals directly when they already have delivery capacity and clear milestones.
→ Open community proposals: Builders from outside the Foundation can still apply, but need a Tech & Ops champion to guide the proposal through the process (structure, milestones, acceptance criteria, review).
→ RFPs: The Tech & Ops Committee may publish “RFP-style” calls for specific priorities (clear scope, desired outcomes, timelines).
Key point here: proposals are evaluated on merit & alignment

Canton just made Validator Economics about real usage ⚙️
CIP-0096 is phasing out liveness rewards entirely, 70% of validator rewards were tied to pure liveness.
What changed and why:
→ Liveness rewards were designed to incentivize infrastructure operation, but over time they could be earned without driving real network activity.
→ The reduction happens in four on-chain votes, stepping down from $3.33 to $2.50 to $0.60 to $0, voted through by Super Validators on DevNet, TestNet, and MainNet
→ Other validator reward mechanics remain unchanged. This is specifically about liveness rewards, not the full reward model
The network bootstrapped with liveness incentives to get infrastructure online. Use cases are live, validators are onboarding, and those incentives are no longer needed.
Active participation is now the only way to earn!

Welcoming @zenithfdn as a Super Validator on Canton (CIP-0091 | Weight 10). 🎊
Zenith is building the EVM execution layer for @CantonNetwork, letting Ethereum developers deploy Solidity apps on Canton without rewriting everything in Daml, while keeping Canton's privacy, compliance, and atomic settlement properties intact.
Two angles: Zenith EVM for developers who want familiar Ethereum tooling on Canton, and Zenith Stack for institutions that want their own customizable EVM environment with full control over permissions, fees, and compliance boundaries.
The key technical contribution is atomic composability, a transaction can span both a Canton-native Daml leg and an EVM leg, and either both succeed or the whole thing fails. Settlement is atomic, coordination is Canton, and there are no bridges in between.
As an SV, every milestone is tied to real usage on the network. Bringing Ethereum developers into institutional finance infrastructure.
Glad to have them governing the network!
