Decision analysis by @Yarnell_CJ et al in @ajogmfm addresses maternal/neonatal outcome in COVID ARDS: elective delivery v. expectant Rx. For mother: elective delivery NOT superior across 28-34wks For baby: elective delivery superior >30 wk (if high risk) ajogmfm.org/article/S2589-…

I'm delighted to share our study in @ajogmfm 👇 Inclusion of pregnant🤰 & breastfeeding🤱 women in non-obstetric randomized controlled trials Thanks to a fantastic team @SimonaMiljanic @FeliciaLeung7 @virginia_vin @D_Somanader @IsabelleMalhame @StephenLap @lisa_burry

Great work by @canuckIDpharm leading an analysis in @ajogmfm of the major inequities in inclusion of pregnant subjects in general internal medicine RCTs. Eligible in 1% of RCTs, eligibility more common in: - ID studies - sub-Saharan Africa - non-industry sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Anyone preparing to review lit on trans care should be on the look out for these authors before taking a single word seriously. They are already infiltrating the pharmacy journal space despite my efforts to prevent (stay tuned for a pub in response soon)

I submitted my first RO1 as a Multi-PI w/ @bpeteet . My imposter syndrome has been stifling, but what a journey it has been, and what an honor it is to have written and submitted something that I am so proud of alongside another Black woman.

@miramaximos Not lit. based but I was told in a lecture by a researcher who has done amazing studies using ITS..."general rule of thumb is at least 3 observations before and after, but the more observations, the better."

Happy this one is up! We added our experience with opened isavuconazole caps and crushed DR posaconazole tabs w/ TDM in pts who couldn't swallow. Most patients were able to achieve targets, but careful TDM is a must. Hope this can spare some IV therapy. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35174391/

One last question for twitter today. What "medical myths" do you find particularly pernicious, persistent and irritating? What are your medical myth pet peeves?
