@little_pengelly The fact you're all coming out to defend your so-called strong union says it all.

Nationalists are trying to spin, spin, spin - so what are the FACTS 👇👇. The Union remains STRONG with clear Pro-Union majorities in Scotland and Wales. In Northern Ireland we are not "led" by a "pro-independence" FM - it is a joint role with a Unionist. In addition, it is Unionism that is the biggest grouping in the Northern Ireland Assembly, not nationalism. Ignore those who are desperately seeking a headline from the recent results, and look at the facts. It would better serve those who are spin, spin, spinning today to get on with the business of delivering for people on health, education and on improving lives. #SinnFeinSpinFein

The answer to the challenges we face is not separation, division or endless constitutional wrangling. It is cooperation, hard work and making the United Kingdom work for all our people. We are better, safer & more prosperous together.
Michelle O’Neill@moneillsf

For the first time ever, there could be three nationalist, pro-Independence First Ministers across these islands. Historic change is happening. The demand for independence is growing.

WATCH: Asked Nigel Farage last night abt his £5m gift from Christopher Harborne. Why did he not just declare? Does he regret that? What’s his response to those who argue it looks dodgy? He said my Qs were a “waste of space" & was clearly annoyed in what became a tense exchange

Nigel Farage told Sky's @BethRigby that he took a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in early 2024, before he announced he would stand for parliament, for 'protection'

Michele the vote wasn't about independence it was about council elections , and we all know all four UK countries receive money from the UK treasury, stop making a hype out of something when the main reason labour lost most control over councils was because of immigration ( SF believe in open boarders just like Labour) this is not the win you think it is, fix Northern Ireland first !

Jon Burrows said that his standards are so high that no one would use misogynistic language in front of him. He also happily flew to the USA for St Patrick’s Day to shake the hand of President Trump who regularly uses misogynistic language against women he doesn’t like.

@RobbieButlerMLA Maybe your party leader should have considered that before his interview and subsequent car crash this morning. 18 years and he never, ever heard a single misogynistic comment or joke in the RUC ? Who believes that waffle?

The Katie Simpson report has to be a turning point. If we really want to honour Katie’s memory, then we need to properly tackle violence against women and girls and the misogyny that still sits underneath too much of it. At a time when a family is living with unimaginable grief, the focus shouldn’t be on political squabbling or point scoring. It should be on fixing the failures and changing the culture that keeps letting women and girls down. Katie deserved better. Women and girls deserve better.

@cllrjohnkyle @naomi_long @NualaMcAllister was right,in my opinion also, to not believe that @JonBurrowsMLA never heard a single misogynistic comment in 18 years of RUC service, nonsense. Then he tried to cover up by saying when he was in higher ranks but I assume John started the same as everyone else.

"I've never heard misogynistic language in the police service, not for a long time, and if I did, it was challenged". So you NEVER heard misogynistic language but if you DID, you CHALLENGED it. How did you challenge the language if you never heard it? @JonBurrowsMLA

As Belfast's once-threatening murals are replaced by an explosion of often stunning apolitical artworks, David Campbell from the LCC says all of the most offensive loyalist murals ("some of it artistically is horrible") could go within five years. economist.com/interactive/br…

Thats David Campbell who dismisses victims of historical sexual abuse as children & blames the parents? The David Campbell who waved a hand & declared it was ages ago and there were few victims? And we wonder why we have a problem here? Murals?

In fairness, this lack of curiosity is entirely consistent from a party that famously admitted it isn’t over ‘every jot and tittle’.

💥🗣 NEW: 'I haven’t read it and I’m not rushing to.' DUP Leader dismisses Alliance Party reform plans. 🎥🎤@duponline Leader @GRobinsonDUP tells Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 he will not be rushing to read the Stormont reform proposals from the @allianceparty. The party has launched a Democratic Renewal paper outlining a series of proposals to “fix the system of government” in Northern Ireland. It includes removing the ability of one party to collapse Stormont, ensuring all parties’ votes count equally, stopping blockages at the Executive, “making Ministers more accountable” and increasing transparency around political funding. Alliance Leader @naomi_long says the Secretary of State Hilary Benn made clear the issue of reform will be discussed during the next round of party talks.
