@NDRedEagle Post Olympics, the Isles are 7-3 with a zero goal differential. That looks mediocre especially given the 4 OT wins in that stretch. On the other hand, Sorokin and Rittich have been average in this run so I'd say this is what the Isles true talent level is.

Isles have lost 26 times in their last 65 games. That's fewer than MIN (28) or MTL (29). BUF and COL lead the NHL in this stat, with 23. 65 games is a long stretch!

I keep trying to explain to people and some get it but most don’t. And I’ve been signing this same tune when explaining just how good McDavid is. He basically defies physics. I feel like Schaefer defies what we know about hockey at the defenseman position more than McDavid has at center. I won’t die on this hill, it’s just my intuition so far.

There’s a case to be made that Darche is having the worst rookie GM year in NHL history.

@Herald_Kaladin @philzfactz The worst outcome would have been resigning Dobson for 10mn + AAV. I’m not happy with Darche’s TD but trading Dobson more than offsets his mistakes since then.

@capconstrained @philzfactz The Dobson deal only looks good because 2 steals fell to us. If Eklund and Aitch didn’t fall, it would have looked WAAAY worse. And Heineman is looking like a dud as well. Darche’s hand was tied with that deal but his whole goal was to get Hagens which he failed at.
